I visited "Kami Hikouki" to enjoy Japanese food before heading overseas! I always crave Japanese food when I'm abroad... The restaurant is very spacious and offers views of planes taking off and landing. It was a rainy day, so unfortunately the view wasn't great, but...

The menu was extensive and the prices were reasonable, making it a comfortable place to dine with children. We enjoyed a leisurely dinner in the spacious dining area. The portions were generous, leaving us completely satisfied. We will definitely be back.

This is a food court style where you order at the entrance, choose your seat, and pick up your food when your number is displayed. I had a set of seven pieces of nigiri sushi and a bowl of kake udon. The price was airport-level, and the taste was below average for a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The sushi rice was stuck to the bottom of the plate, and the toppings and rice fell apart when I ate them. The toppings were also dry, suggesting they were pre-made or poorly managed. As a Japanese person, I felt embarrassed that this was being served to foreign visitors. They call out your number when your order is ready, but when I was there, they only called it out in Japanese. They only say the number in English as well, so no conversational skills are required. However, considering this is a facility within an international airport, I think they should be more considerate. I feel there are issues with the company's attitude and training. This is the second terminal, so you can't see planes taking off and landing while you eat. There are counter seats where you can see parked planes, so you can still get a sense of the airport atmosphere. The only good thing is that the aisles are wide, so you can put your suitcase next to your seat without bothering other people.

You order and pay when you enter the shop, and you'll be called to pick up your food when it's ready on a monitor, similar to a food court. You choose your own seat and carry your food yourself. The menu includes curry, udon, soba, and sushi. The sushi was too chewy for my child to bite through, so they left it. Since it's a Japanese airport, I wish they would use higher quality sushi ingredients even if it means a higher price! It was disappointing for foreigners. The udon, soba, and katsu curry were average and recommended!

While the prices might be a bit on the higher side, the service was quick and the food was delicious, so I'd say it was worth it. The restaurant is spacious and allows for a leisurely dining experience. Some counter seats offer a view of airplanes taking off and landing right in front of you.
