Despite its casual atmosphere, the restaurant serves high-quality, innovative Japanese cuisine. The space is quite small, so reservations are essential. The food and drinks are both incredibly delicious, and I've been there twice already. I definitely plan to visit again. The quality is excellent for the price, making it a fantastic choice for those seeking delicious food at a reasonable cost. While there are no private rooms, it's a truly casual spot that will earn you respect for knowing about it. It's a great place!

【Check Point】 ■ A la carte restaurant by Ginza Kudou ■ Wide variety of menu items Toki-gumi, a restaurant serving creative dishes inspired by Japanese cuisine, offers an a la carte menu. Located a 3-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station. The exterior is quite inconspicuous, and the entrance is on the second floor, up the stairs from the first floor. The interior has a calm atmosphere with a counter and one table. Toki-gumi is run by Ginza Kudou, and its sister restaurant is Tokuchiyama. You can enjoy high-quality creative dishes with a distinct Japanese touch, and the extensive menu allows you to choose your favorites. I've been thinking lately that a la carte restaurants are really great, and this one seems like a place I'll frequent in the future. Of the dishes I ordered, I particularly enjoyed the rich and creamy flavor of the macadamia potato salad, the delicious base of the crab cream croquette, and the intense shrimp broth of the curry. I'm looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu in the future. A kaiseki restaurant in Ginza. It's located within a 5-minute walk from Higashi-Ginza Station. It has been selected for the Michelin Bib Gourmand. "Toki-Kumi" means "eating time." It seems the name implies that they want you to forget about work and busy days and enjoy yourself. I went there on a weekday around 6:30 PM. It only has 9 seats, so it's recommended to make a reservation in advance. It was already full when I arrived. I started with a glass of Gajeli Estrella beer. The glass for this beer is a rare Rütli glass. The bottom of the glass is round and sits on a pedestal. I fell in love with this glass at a certain kaiseki restaurant in Shinjuku. It's not sold commercially, so I got it at an auction as a gift and still cherish it. Beer tastes exceptional in this luxurious glass. As for the food, I had the following dishes today. The price per dish is on the higher side, but I was completely satisfied with everything (*゚▽゚*) ✔︎ Appetizer The appetizer is grilled sesame tofu. It seems like they always serve this as an appetizer, and it has become a signature dish of Toki-Kumi. It seems like they grill it after you order, so it takes a little time. But it's so fluffy, chewy, and delicious! You can smell the aroma of grilling and the nice scent of sesame. ✔︎ Fava Bean Puree (2 pieces for ¥1600) The bottom layer is fava bean puree, topped with fresh yuba, then dashi jelly, and finally topped with uni. The cold fava bean puree, fresh yuba, and jelly create a refreshing feeling ✨ ✔︎ Foie Gras Monaka (2 pieces for ¥1400) This is a signature dish of Toki-Kumi. The monaka skin seems to change depending on the season. This time it was shaped like a four-leaf clover. As the name suggests, it's filled with plenty of foie gras, and there's also smoked salmon and something like jellied meat hidden inside. This is also delicious(*´∀`*) ✔︎ Zao Beef Cutlet (¥2800) Zao beef. I've never heard of it before. Apparently, it's only produced at Zao Highland Farm. The breading is relatively thin and crispy. The meat is the star of the show. The meatiness is prominent. ✔︎ Gout Meal (¥3000) This luxurious gout meal is topped with plenty of salmon roe, uni, karasumi, and caviar! This was actually what I was looking forward to. Of course, the luxurious ingredients are great, but the rice here is truly delicious. The freshly cooked Tsuyahime rice is sparkling ✨ ✔︎ Truffle Rice (¥3000) The closing meal options were all so tempting that I ended up ordering two dishes d( ̄  ̄) This is rice cooked with Zao pork bacon, green onions, and truffles, topped with egg yolk. The aroma is incredible. And the rice is also exceptionally delicious. The fat from the Zao pork is quite strong, and maybe because it was my second bowl, I felt a little full (^◇^;) The menu says things like "Drunken or abusive customers are not allowed," "Only cold water is not allowed," "Flash photography is prohibited," "There is a time limit," and "Customers with strong perfume are not allowed." There are a lot of rules at this restaurant, and at first, I thought the owner was quite strict, but he was very polite and courteous, which I appreciated. (Well, it's just common sense, though, lol) The closing meals were especially delicious, and there were many other things I wanted to try. Since it's been selected for Michelin, it might be harder to make a reservation, but I definitely want to visit again(^^) Thank you for the meal!

This restaurant is located in Higashi-Ginza and is part of the Uchiyama group. So, of course, their famous grilled sesame tofu is on the menu. It's made fresh daily, so the sesame aroma is strong, the flavor is rich, and it's incredibly delicious. Furthermore, this restaurant offers an à la carte menu, making it perfect for a gathering with close friends. If you're looking for a place to impress someone, I'd recommend the original Uchiyama. The restaurant is a bit small, with only two tables and a counter, and the chef prepares almost everything alone, so service can slow down when it gets busy. Every dish is meticulously prepared, and they are all delicious. (Although, there were a few dishes that didn't quite hit the spot.) However, each dish is priced accordingly, so it's best to check the menu before ordering. It's definitely a Ginza-level price point for adults. On this particular occasion, we had beer, highballs, a bottle of wine, and 4-5 dishes, which came out to about 20,000 yen per person. It's highly recommended for a night out with friends.

Tokyo's depth never ceases to amaze. This is a different concept from the Tokuchiyama chain. A friend told me about this hidden gem in Higashi-Ginza. Everything I ate was delicious, and I ended up overeating. The staff was also wonderful. I'll definitely be back!
