I was taken to a small restaurant called "Vampickle" in Ginza by someone I work with. It's a branch of the French restaurant "Ozami." The restaurant is mainly a counter, but there are also tables in the back, so it's okay for groups of 3 or more. The drinks are mainly wine, with about 60 different bottles available at all times. We opened 3 bottles for the 3 of us www. The food was all delicious and of exceptional quality for the price. Especially the foie gras skewers, the salty taste of the foie gras and the sweet and sour taste of the blueberries were a perfect match, I was so impressed... ❤︎ It was a great place for a casual meal! ◼︎ What we ordered - Foie gras skewers - Thick, premium shiitake mushroom skewers - Camembert skewers - Yoshida pork skewers (thigh, shoulder loin, skirt) - Caprese with mozzarella and seasonal fruit ******** Please follow me on Instagram ❤︎ Yoko Kawamura (@yoko_kawamura_)
The restaurant is small, but it has a strangely calming and comfortable atmosphere. The sommelier carefully explained the wines that paired well with the dishes, and we enjoyed both the food and the wine in a great combination. The venison was tender and delicious! All the dishes were delicious. I want to go back again.
I revisited my favorite restaurant! The atmosphere was as good as ever, and the food was delicious, so I was very satisfied. My companion was particularly fond of the salmon and sea bream (or maybe it wasn't sea bream) tartare, which made me happy. The male staff member in the dining room has extensive wine knowledge, and when I tell him what I'm looking for, he always finds something that suits my taste, which is very helpful. I'll definitely be back! P.S. I thought the Ezo deer meat was a little dry compared to last time. It's natural, so there's probably variation between individuals. I'll be back! Next time, I want to try the Shamo chicken.
A Charcoal-Grilled French Experience in Ginza: Wine and Food Harmony at "Vampickle"! Nestled amidst the bustling streets of Ginza lies "Vampickle." I recently revisited this restaurant, having first dined there several years ago. ◎ Highlights ● Charcoal-Grilled Delights that Showcase the Essence of Ingredients The charcoal-grilled duck and vegetables are a symphony of flavors, where the natural essence of the ingredients harmonizes perfectly with the smoky aroma of the charcoal. This simple yet profound taste elevates the wine pairing experience. ● An Extensive Wine Selection Vampickle boasts a curated selection of fine wines. The sommelier's pairing suggestions are masterful, creating a harmonious symphony of flavors that will delight any wine enthusiast. ● A Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere with Attentive Service The intimate setting of the restaurant offers a casual yet warm ambiance. The friendly and attentive service from the staff ensures a pleasant experience every time you visit. △ Other Points ▲ Course Size While each dish is exquisitely prepared and delicious, the portions are on the smaller side. Gentlemen might want to consider ordering additional items. ☆ Conclusion "Vampickle" is a hidden gem in Ginza, offering a respite from the city's hustle and bustle. The delectable charcoal-grilled dishes and carefully selected wines create a truly special dining experience. The warm and welcoming service, coupled with the high quality of the cuisine, promises new discoveries and delights with every visit (this was my second time).
Born from the idea of what would happen if a Frenchman opened a charcoal grill restaurant, this establishment offers a unique experience of French barbecue and French wines. They use carefully raised Yoshida pork and other seasonal ingredients sourced from select producers, all grilled to perfection. The extensive wine list features a wide variety of selections perfectly paired with the dishes. The interior is primarily a counter with a few tables, but the counter seats are highly recommended as they offer a close-up view of the open kitchen where the food is prepared. The sizzling sound of fat dripping from the meat and the fragrant smoke from the ingredients infused with grapevine branches will tantalize your taste buds. The dishes pictured are charcoal-grilled Yoshida pork, charcoal-grilled conger eel with grilled eggplant and lemon, salmon and sea bream tartare with caviar, smooth white liver pâté, and foie gras skewers flambéed with a rich sauce.
