Narita Airport Terminal 2, 4th Floor A Kansai-style udon and soba restaurant located in the Kanto region. I arrived at Narita Airport 2.5 hours late due to a delay. My stomach was rumbling, so I had a late lunch at 3:30 PM. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with white wood. Orders are placed using a touch panel at the counter. I ordered a small katsu-don and chose udon over soba. The udon noodles were thin and had a good texture, with a nice springiness. The broth was well-balanced in the Kansai style, and I appreciated the condiments like grated radish and Japanese mint. The presentation of the udon, including the garnishes, was visually appealing. The katsu-don was also delicious. It was nice to have a taste of Japan at the airport. I'm sure I'll visit again. This udon restaurant is located on the 4th floor of the main building of Narita Airport Terminal 2. I often visit when I have time. The plum chicken and egg udon features udon noodles in a thick soup with dissolved egg and topped with plums. I'm also curious about the plum and grated radish udon. The udon is Kansai-style with a delicious broth. The thin noodles are chewy and easy to swallow.
I craved udon before my trip abroad! You can choose between thin and thick noodles. The udon was chewy and springy, and the pickled plum was refreshingly delicious 😋
I was wandering around the food court at Narita Airport, looking for a place to eat. I saw a food sample of udon noodles in front of a restaurant and decided to give it a try. Ordering was done through a touch panel. I ordered the Ume Oroshi Udon for 980 yen and the Ume Chicken Egg Soba for 1100 yen. I chose the thick udon noodles for my Ume Oroshi Udon. The ume (plum) was bright red, large, soft, and went well with the udon. In addition to the ume, it came with grated daikon radish, chopped seaweed, green shiso leaves, and bonito flakes. The udon noodles were smooth, chewy, and incredibly delicious. It was refreshing, making it perfect for the upcoming hot season. The staff was also very attentive, refilling my water when it was running low. Overall, it was a great experience.
The udon noodles are smooth and have a good bite. The broth, made with a light soy sauce base, is strong and doesn't get overpowered by the noodles. It's a Kansai-style broth, not a Tokyo-style one. Even the small size of the katsu-don set is substantial. The thick pork cutlet is well-soaked in the broth, and the egg is generously cooked. The broth even permeates the rice at the bottom. The seven-spice powder is also excellent, with a special focus on quality from Kyoto. The restaurant has many seats, so you can feel at ease.
