You might have to wait in line for about 1.5 hours if you miss the timing, but it's a place worth visiting once. ✨ There were a few foreign tourists, but I highly recommend stopping by if you're in Tsukiji. The rice balls are small, so you won't be full, but it's a good option for a quick bite while exploring the area.

Don't underestimate this standing sushi bar! The quality of the sushi is surprisingly high. To keep the turnover quick, you need to order all the sushi you want to eat at the beginning. If there's no line, you can order more later. This sushi restaurant is often crowded, but it's definitely worth the wait.

While the main branch is in Shinbashi, I discovered they also have a location in Tsukiji and decided to visit. It was around 6 PM on a weekday, and there wasn't a line, so I was able to get in right away. Drinks are unlimited, but you can only order sushi once. It's standing-only, and with only one ordering chance, the turnover seems fast even if there's a line. It's a casual atmosphere, and I think it's great to be able to choose your favorite ingredients and enjoy sushi made with red vinegar. It seems like a good place to stop by for a quick bite while hopping between bars or for a drink after dinner. The white shrimp with kelp seasoning and the vinegared spring kingfish were particularly delicious this time. The shrimp was rich and had a strong kelp flavor. It was my first time trying vinegared spring kingfish, so it was a refreshing experience. The clams were also delicious. I'd like to go back again if I have the chance.

I visited the Tsukiji branch for the first time. It's new and clean. The restrooms are paid, so you can get the QR code from the store. They allow up to 9 people, one more than the Shinbashi branch. The sushi is truly amazing quality for the price. I think it's better to skip the crowded Tsukiji Outer Market, but if you want to be sure to get a table at this branch on the first round, you should line up by 11 am. Personally, I love the atmosphere of the Shinbashi branch.

Tsukiji Bon Marche's underground standing sushi bar 🍣 This is the second branch of a popular restaurant in Shimbashi. The counter seats about 7 people. I went around 2 pm, so there was no line, but apparently it's always crowded, regardless of the time. Lucky me! You can only order once, and the order sheet lists the price of each item. Even though it's standing sushi, it's quite pricey. I had a total of 8 pieces. The rice is sharp and dry, with a slight warmth, almost like body temperature. Here's what I ate: * Black Sea Bass * Nemuro Iwashi (Sardine) This was the best of the day! It was so fatty and delicious. * Aomori Hirame (Halibut) It was soft but had a good springiness. * Saga Kohada (Gizzard Shad) * Maguro Akami (Tuna Belly) from Oma It had a slight sourness that was delicious, and it was perfectly tender. * Zuké Maguro (Marinated Tuna) It had a spicy kick instead of wasabi. The marinated tuna was sweet. * Shimaaji (Striped Jack) The flesh was firm. * Nodoguro (Blackthroat Seaperch) was grilled It was melt-in-your-mouth, sweet, and delicious! The fish and the rice were both delicious. It was a 20-minute standing meal, no alcohol. 8 pieces cost around 4,000 yen.
