I always look forward to the "Month-Beginning" special, available from the 1st to the 10th of every month. This month's offering was delicious as always! 🎃🍎 ~2024.01 🐉~ I'm looking forward to this year's offerings! The Setouchi Lemon餡🍋 is a delightful blend of tart lemon and sweet red bean paste, leaving a refreshing, citrusy aroma in its wake.🍋 ~2024.02 🍫~ I just watched a news report on NHK about the current situation in the disaster-stricken areas of Ishikawa Prefecture, so I have mixed feelings. But the "Luxury Cacao Bread" is truly something special. It's 8cm square and costs ¥1000 for a set of 2, so ¥2000 in total. I thought it was expensive at first, but the ingredients are top-notch, including cacao, orange peel, cashews, and more. It's rich but light, almost like a gateau chocolat in bread form. The crunchy nuts add a nice touch, and I enjoyed it immensely. ~2024.02.15~29 Limited Time Offer🍓~ The strawberry餡🍓 is always a hit. It's so delicious, I have to be careful not to eat too much! 😂 ~2024.03.01~ I've been waiting for the "Spring in Full Bloom Sakura An" 🌸! It's so good, I feel guilty eating it, but I'm already halfway through! 😭 I still have 10 days left, so I better hurry!🏃♀️😂 ~2024.04.10 Change~ "Ehime 🍊 Setoka An" Setoka oranges are not available in my neighborhood, and I couldn't order them online in time for the photo shoot... so I went with regular oranges instead. 😂 The juicy flavor of the orange was truly delightful.🍊 ~2024.05.01~ "Ise🍃 Kabusecha An" ~Enjoying the Season's Fresh Green (Midori)~ By shielding the new shoots from sunlight with straw or other materials, the tea leaves develop a deeper green color, resulting in a less bitter and more flavorful tea. The elegant aroma lingered long after I finished.🍃 ~2024.06.01~ I bought this at the Tsukiji store, but it's also available at the Ginza main branch. 🍑 The "Peak of Perfection Shimizu White Peach An"🍑 is truly the best! The juicy sweetness of the peach and the white bean paste complement each other perfectly. It's truly the peak of perfection!
I bought this bread as a gift for the family we're staying with. This is the closest place to Kachidoki that sells branded bread. I hope it makes for a fun breakfast.
## Bread Review: Anpan (Sweet Bean Bread) **Taste:** This anpan is incredibly delicious. It's more like a sweet, bean-flavored dessert than a bread. It's so sweet that it's almost too much, but it's delicious enough to eat plain. **Size:** The anpan is a square, cube-shaped loaf, half the size of a standard 2-jin loaf (approximately 1-jin). It has a small indentation in the center of the top. **Store:** On a weekend afternoon, there was only one other customer in the store. There was one staff member at the register. On a weekday morning at 10:00 am, there were four customers waiting in front of the store. **Warmth:** On a weekend afternoon, the bread was still warm when I bought it. On a weekday morning at 10:00 am, the bread was still warm when I bought it. **Customer Service:** Before I could choose what to buy, I tried to ask about the size of the anpan, but I was immediately told to wait. I stood behind the customer who was paying, just to ask about the size, but I felt pressured to buy something even though I hadn't decided what to get. It would be more helpful if customers could ask questions before they reach the register. At the time, it was a weekend afternoon, and there was only one other customer in the store. There were no other customers while I was there. The store was empty. **Issues:** The paper bag had a hole in the metal closure, and the plastic bag was open, exposing the top of the bread. I didn't know that the bag was left open to prevent moisture buildup, so I wanted to close it to take it home, especially during the pandemic. I wish they had mentioned that the bag was open. **Price:** The flyer advertised the price as around 850 yen excluding tax, so I checked the receipt several times after I bought it. I wish they had written the price as 950 yen including tax on the flyer. **Building:** The building is called the 'Shokupan Building' (Bread Building). There are no other stores in the building. **Freebie:** I received two small stickers. **Update: 2023.4.22** It seems that they are no longer selling anpan. They are now selling a mandarin orange flavor.
Of all the premium milk bread I've tried, Nishikizawa's bread was the sweetest and most delicious. It's a bit pricey, but it's so good that you can enjoy it toasted without anything on it. I also recommend adding butter.
The bright and clean store also sells hand towels. Of course, there's also the premium bread and spreads to go with it. This bread is so delicious that you won't want to eat any other bread after trying it.
