A unique restaurant that embodies the spirit of Ningyocho. The owner-chef's personality shines through in both the service and the food. I had the set menu, and despite being fully booked, the timing of the dishes was perfect. The atmosphere was so comfortable that I lost track of time eating and drinking. This time I only had sparkling wine, but they have a wide selection of natural wines from Italy and Southern France, so I'm looking forward to trying them next time.
I always go here for lunch. Everything is delicious, no matter what you order. They add two original menu items after 1 pm. The restaurant is small, so there's usually a line during lunchtime. However, the food comes out quickly, so it seems to have a good turnover. It's often run by one person, so it can get busy, but it's cheap and delicious, so I recommend it. Recently, they seem to be closed for lunch on Mondays.
I stumbled upon this restaurant while browsing reviews from other diners who had visited places I was hoping to try in the future! I headed there from Bakuro Yokoyama Station. It was a Saturday night, so the area was very quiet once I turned off the main street. The location was easy to find thanks to the lights illuminating the storefront. There were several other promising-looking restaurants on the way, making me eager to explore the area. I had read reviews mentioning the generous portions of the appetizer platter, so I ordered a five-piece platter for two. I forgot to take a picture, but it included a pate de campagne, a fragrant bruschetta topped with firefly squid, and a rich caponata, all arranged in a balanced way. The flavors were bold and complemented the drinks perfectly, showcasing the freshness of the ingredients. I loved it. The vibrant presentation also caught my eye. Next, we ordered the Roman-style tripe stew and the truffle and poached egg potato salad. The potato salad came with crispy fried camembert cheese, adding a rich aroma and a variety of textures. I wanted to savor every drop of the stew's tomato sauce, so I ordered a garlic toast. It was delicious! It was generously topped with finely chopped garlic and parsley. I devoured it before even dipping it in the sauce, haha. Every dish was meticulously prepared with care. I could truly feel the chef's love for their cooking. It left me excited to try something new next time. For our main course, we had the A4 Wagyu tagliata. The lean, fine-grained meat was tender, sweet, and juicy. The level of doneness was perfect. I had read reviews praising the chewy texture of the pasta, so we ordered one. We chose the anchovy and fennel oil pasta from the menu. The anchovy's savory flavor and saltiness perfectly complemented the springy pasta. Each ingredient had its own distinct taste, yet they harmonized beautifully. It was the champion of the night! My partner had a draft beer for a toast and four glasses of red wine. They kept ordering more because every dish was so delicious, even though they said it would be their last. I had a draft beer, a homemade lemon sour, and a white wine. The restaurant is small, and it was almost full when we arrived at 7:30 PM. There were a few women's groups celebrating after a wedding reception, couples, and maybe two people dining alone. The chef and the server worked efficiently, and we didn't have to wait long for anything. Finally, we ordered a Catalan. The sweet, fragrant aroma of caramelization wafted from the kitchen, making me giddy. It was a semi-frozen dessert. The crispy surface, rich milk and egg, and vanilla flavor filled my mouth, leaving me in a state of bliss. The accompanying spicy, crunchy baked pastry was a nice touch. The bill came to around ¥15,600. It was surprisingly reasonable considering how much we drank and ate. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed every delicious bite until the very end. Thank you!
I often go here for lunch. It's an Italian restaurant that specializes in pasta. There aren't many seats, so there's always a line. After 1 pm, the menu is reduced to four options, so I'd like to try the adult-style Napolitan for a late lunch. The noodles are thick and chewy. The meal comes with a salad and bread as appetizers. I think 1000 yen is good value for money. The photo shows the appetizer and the spaghetti with tomato sauce, blue crab, and scallions.
I often visit this place for lunch when I crave delicious, chewy pasta. All the appetizers are homemade and incredibly tasty, making it a very satisfying experience. The owner-chef's sincere dedication is admirable, and I want to support them. The pasta lunch with a drink is 880 yen. I've been coming here for over a year now, and lately, it's been getting quite busy, with customers often having to wait. In the evenings, they offer an all-you-can-drink option with excellent value for money, and delicious course meals. The space is a bit small, but it's my favorite spot to enjoy a lively gathering with close friends.
