I visited around 1 pm on a weekday. There were six people ahead of me in line, and I waited about 10 minutes before entering. It's definitely popular with tourists. It seems to be a JR East-operated restaurant produced by Ippudo. I ordered the special tonkotsu shoyu ramen and the grilled char siu mayo rice bowl. Although it's called shoyu, it's completely dominated by the flavor of bonito flakes. I couldn't taste the soy sauce, and the pork bone broth was overshadowed by the bonito, lacking a strong presence. Maybe a simple tonkotsu ramen would have been better... The noodles were firm and chewy, with a satisfying bite. I couldn't resist ordering a second helping. It was a delicious meal!

Before leaving Japan, it's gotta be ramen, right? ♪︎☆ This is a tonkotsu (pork bone broth) ramen shop produced by Hakata Ippudo and operated by JR East Japan. Located in Furugome, Narita City, Chiba Prefecture, this tonkotsu ramen shop is on the 4th floor of Narita International Airport Terminal 2. It's a Tokyo-based tonkotsu ramen shop produced by the major ramen chain "Hakata Ippudo." The company is JR East Japan Cross Station Co., Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of JR East Japan. Tonkotsu ramen before leaving Japan! ♪︎ ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶ I was heading to Narita Airport for a trip to Thailand, my first visit in a while. With the pandemic over, the airport is bustling with people again. After checking in, I went to the 4th floor of the restaurant and shop floor to grab some lunch. Ramen before a long flight, of course! (ʃƪ^3^) It was lunchtime, so it was crowded. Almost full. I ordered at the counter and paid afterwards _φ(・_・ ◆Today's Order◆ Tonkotsu Ramen ¥790 Extra Noodles ¥150 I ordered the noodles firm (bari-kata), which were thin and had a high water content, served with a mild tonkotsu soup. The soup had no unpleasant odor, making it suitable for women and foreigners. The toppings included two thin slices of chashu (pork), wood ear mushrooms, and chopped green onions. The portion was small, so I definitely needed an extra order of noodles (¥150) ( ´∀`)σ I added the standard flavor-changing items from the counter, red ginger and spicy mustard greens, to boost the punch. I finished the soup and the noodles. The aftertaste was clean. Now, off to Thailand! ♪︎ ٩(๑´0`๑)۶ #BeforeDeparture #NaritaAirport #Terminal2 #BeforeSecurityAndImmigration #OpenFrom7:30AM #OpenAllDay #TonkotsuRamen #LightSoup #HakataIppudoProduced #JR東日本CrossStationOperated #NaritaExpressRide #PopularWithForeignTourists #VisitedLateSeptember2023 #PricesIncreasedAsOfJune2024 #MayRevisit #InterestedInBackFatTonkotsuRamen

I visited this ramen shop after checking in but before going through immigration. I ordered the pork bone broth ramen (special), and both the noodles and the soup were delicious. I finished it in a flash. They also had sesame and pickled mustard greens for flavor variations, which I should have tried with a second serving of noodles. The ramen came out pretty quickly after I ordered, so my stay at the shop was only about 20 minutes. I forgot to ask for firm noodles when I ordered, so I'll remember to do that next time. By the way, the char siu was a bit small, but it was well-balanced, and the soft-boiled egg had a runny yolk, which was great. I'm grateful for this delicious meal before my flight. 😊

【Access】 The ramen shop is located on the 3rd floor of the Airport Terminal 2, about a 3-minute walk from Narita Airport Station on various lines. 【Time of Use and Store】 This time, we had dinner on Saturday at 2 PM. The restaurant was about 80% full, with about 60% of the customers being foreigners. The interior is casual Japanese style, creating a Japanese atmosphere. The seating is all table seating. ◼︎Station: Close ◼︎Line: Yes ◼︎Space: Japanese ◼︎Price: High ◼︎Payment: Credit ◼︎BGM: ?? ◼︎Cold Water: Served 【Order】 ◆Pork Bone Spicy Noodle Soup / ¥1180 / Tax Included It looks spicy, but it's actually not that spicy ramen. When you sip the soup, you get a mellow and sweet pork bone sesame flavor with a moderate spiciness like chili oil. And then there's the tingling sensation of Sichuan pepper. Oh, it's delicious. Next, I eat the thin noodles, which have a firm texture. The bite is good. Next, the minced pork is sweet. Hmm, Ippudo's spicy noodle soup. It's different from their usual ramen, it has an impact. ◆Pork Bone Soup / ¥980 / Tax Included This is the ramen my wife ate. The classic flavor. Hmm, it's mellow. ◆Soy Sauce / ¥ / Tax Included This is the ramen my child ate. It's a ramen that you can enjoy the umami of bonito. Hmm, it's a Japanese-style Ippudo. ◆Grilled Char Siu Donburi / ¥380 / Tax Included This is the bowl my child ate. Hmm, the umami of the roast pork is excellent. 【Staff】 The service is polite. 【Finally】 The first meal my child ate when they went on a language study trip was ramen and McDonald's. The McDonald's fries were takeout. The ramen was here... My child was having ramen for the first time in a while. They were eating the ramen with gusto. Japanese ramen is delicious, isn't it? Yeah, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal ^^ ◼︎Focus: Pork bone without any smell ◼︎Repeat: ◯ No.10022024
