I feel a bit bad saying this since I was introduced by a friend, but this is a place I wouldn't want to tell just anyone about. It was my first time, but I had a truly blissful experience. While this isn't limited to this particular bar, I wouldn't recommend it to those who aren't used to single-person operated bars or those expecting excessive chatter from the owner. This is a place for those who enjoy learning from a knowledgeable owner, appreciate subtle distance and a slightly unfamiliar atmosphere, and are true connoisseurs. (Hence the 3-star service rating, which is intentional). I will definitely be returning.
I thought it might be too expensive, but it was fine. The food was great, with a selection that even serious drinkers would appreciate.
If you're looking to experience and appreciate Japanese culture and traditions, this sake bar is a must-visit. They offer an amazing sake tasting menu and the staff are incredibly kind and polite. However, if you're the type of tourist who constantly questions your own behavior and feels out of place, this might not be the right spot for you. My partner and I had a wonderful time here. The atmosphere is perfectly curated, the staff are friendly, and the drinks are exceptional. You might need Google Translate to understand everything, but if that's a problem, there are plenty of other nearby places that can accommodate you. I highly recommend this place!
Thank you! We had a wonderful time tasting sake with delicious small dishes. The owner is very friendly and attentive. It's a traditional and authentic place, so you might need to use Google Translate.
This bar, a hidden gem on the second floor, had a wonderfully cozy atmosphere and an excellent sake tasting menu. While the staff didn't speak English, they welcomed us with open arms.
