It's a bit of a walk from Toyosu Station, but it's easy to find on the second floor of a large building on the main street. The building has a Volvo dealership on the first floor. You can choose your spice level. I went for the first time and chose the least spicy option, but even those who don't like spicy food can enjoy it. For someone who likes spicy food, it was a bit too mild 😅. I had some Shaoxing wine, so I forgot to take pictures again 😓😓😓. I apologize for only having the first three pictures. They didn't have water spinach, so I had stir-fried bean sprouts instead. I also had the "drool chicken" and fried eggplant (I forgot the name). 🙏 The food came out incredibly fast, before I even had time to wait. The "drool chicken" and eggplant have a bit of a numbing sensation, but since I chose a mild spice level, it was a delicious numbness. I was full after the eggplant and fried chicken 😱. I really wanted to try the Mapo Tofu since I was at Mala Sensei 😱😱😱. I ordered the Mapo Tofu and fried rice in small sizes. Finally, I had some almond tofu for dessert on my way home. The waitresses were all very friendly and smiling. I've added this place to my list of places to revisit. ‼️ Reservations are recommended ‼️ The prices were also very reasonable.
The food was delicious ( ◠‿◠ ) The mapo tofu and gyoza seemed to be pre-made, as they came out incredibly fast after ordering... While pre-made is fine, I would have appreciated it if they were served piping hot. The service was rough and casual. (lol) It was a type of service you wouldn't often find from Japanese people.
I visited this restaurant for the first time after shopping in Toyosu. (I made a reservation through Tabelog just before my visit, only for the all-you-can-drink option.) The Prime Square building where this restaurant is located is surprisingly far from Toyosu Station, and it felt rather quiet, especially on a holiday. I've been to the Iidabashi branch, which I believe is part of the same chain, quite a few times, and it's always bustling with energy. In contrast, this location, both the building and the interior, felt very quiet. The food was spicy, and everything was just average in terms of taste. The seafood spring rolls, which weren't spicy at all, and the salad with bean sprouts and wood ear mushrooms were good palate cleansers and went well with the beer. I drank beer at a rapid pace and ended up feeling very full! 🐷 Thank you for the meal! I'll definitely visit again if I have the chance. ^_^
This authentic Sichuan restaurant has been featured in numerous media outlets, including the popular TV show 'Hirunandesu.' Even though I arrived at an awkward time, just before 2 PM, the restaurant was about 80% full, showcasing its popularity. Many reviews mentioned the delicious Sichuan Mapo Tofu, so I ordered it. ◆ Lao Sichuan Mapo Tofu (Medium Spicy) This Mapo Tofu is made in the authentic Chengdu style, with a mature fermented bean paste that leaves a lasting impression and complex, impactful umami. The Sichuan peppercorns and chili peppers provide a tingling, spicy sensation. This is truly delicious, and the restaurant deserves its name as an authentic Sichuan restaurant. For a restaurant tucked away in a corner of a building, the food is a step above your average Chinese restaurant. There are many other tempting dishes, and they offer half-portions, so I'll definitely come back with more time and a bigger appetite. I'm also curious about the limited-time cold Dan Dan noodles. This was delicious. Thank you for the meal.
My Chinese friend took me to a popular Sichuan restaurant in the Toyosu area. My favorite dish was the "Sichuan Pepper-Fried Eggplant"! The crispy exterior and fluffy interior were truly delicious, and the balance of Sichuan peppercorns and salt, along with the light chili pepper aroma, was so pleasant that I couldn't stop eating. The staff were also very attentive. Thank you for the delicious meal! I definitely want to go back again!
