I made a reservation for a weekday evening and went with a friend. We sat at the counter. The appetizers were delicious, and the duck pot was truly amazing. I was so happy. The hand-made soba noodles at the end were also fantastic. The chef had a calm demeanor, and I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. I definitely want to go back. I went back again because it was so good! This time I had the Jin course for 11,000 yen. Everything from the appetizers to the main course and soba noodles was incredibly delicious. I was blown away. I want to try the soba noodles with bottarga again.
The reviews seem to be mixed, but I think it's probably a matter of personal preference. This time, I ordered the course. The first appetizer was made with figs and was absolutely delicious. It immediately raised my expectations. The course dishes did not disappoint, and everything was incredibly tasty. The soba noodles and seaweed were simple yet felt carefully crafted. Speaking of simple, the 'kitsune-nuki,' a dish with only deep-fried tofu, was also incredibly delicious. The course was a little over 4,000 yen, but I was quite full. Some reviews mentioned the service being unfriendly, but I found the staff to be charming. They didn't engage in much small talk, but they weren't unfriendly either. This is a popular soba restaurant with a small staff, but they were very attentive and brought out the next dish at just the right time. I can imagine how busy they must be. It's a restaurant I want to support, so I'll definitely be back.
The soba noodles had a delightful hand-made texture and flavor! The warm broth was a bit on the lighter side, but the noodles themselves were delicious. They had a good selection of appetizers and sake, making it a great spot for a casual drink. I'd definitely go back to this hand-made soba shop.
I made a reservation a month in advance and visited for dinner on a Friday night from Osaka. They prioritize walk-in customers over those with reservations, making the reservation pointless. The food took forever to arrive. They didn't seem to notice us. It was terrible. The soba noodles lacked firmness and weren't particularly delicious. 8,500 yen. I've always been negative about restaurants that only take reservations for dinner, thinking they were trying to create an exclusive atmosphere. But if they're doing this to avoid that and focus on customer service, I understand now. I've had a bit of a change of heart.
I searched on Tabelog for the best soba restaurant near my lunch break. It was the highest-rated one, so I went there. The restaurant was cozy and had about 10 seats. I went there at 1 pm, and it was empty. It was my first time there, so I ordered the Oyama chicken Nanban and the limited-time-only soba rice. The hot soba arrived in about 3 minutes. It was a bit small for me, who loves large portions. However, the flavor was a gentle soba taste, and I finished it quickly. The soup was refreshing and easy to drink, so I would recommend it after a night out.
