I was taken to this bar by a regular who has been coming here since the Y&M days. It was my first time visiting this iconic, authentic Ginza bar in a while. Mori's Bar has both counter and table seating. This time, I sat at the counter where I could watch the bartender make my cocktail. Even if you don't know much about alcohol, you can tell the bartender your preferences and they will make something to your liking. It's a very approachable bar. I ordered a Moscow Mule, while my friend had a Kaikan Fizz. The Moscow Mule was a refreshing mix of gin and spicy ginger soda, perfect for after dinner. My friend's cocktail was a unique blend of gin and milk. Apparently, only a few places serve the Kaikan Fizz. The bar was bustling with guests coming and going. I heard that since the pandemic, there has been an increase in younger patrons and tourists. It was heartwarming to see foreign tourists ordering cocktails from the cocktail book. The bartenders were fluent in English and interacted smoothly with them. It seems like the landscape of Ginza's authentic bars has changed, and it was a fun night. I took a picture of the beautiful dry martini!
This is Mr. Takao Mori's bar. I found it when I searched for "Ginza Bar" on Google Maps and decided to have a drink there. When I sat down, I saw a cocktail book published by Mr. Mori and chose my drink from it. It lists about 100 different cocktails. They also have a wide selection of whiskeys! The Martini, a signature cocktail from Mr. Mori's book, is quite strong. The taste changes significantly as your tongue gets used to the alcohol. It's deep and flavorful, with a strong gin taste, and delicious. The third cocktail I had (I forgot the name) was very easy to drink and was made with some kind of Fiji rum. This is a place where you'll want to try all sorts of cocktails. I highly recommend visiting at least once.
I went there because I heard there was a famous bartender. Unfortunately, he wasn't there, but the drinks were delicious. Considering the location and the establishment, I wouldn't say it's a place to think about in terms of cost-effectiveness, but if I were to evaluate it solely on that basis, this is my rating.

This bar was opened in 1997 by Takao Mori, a renowned bartender representing Japan. His signature martini, known as the 'Mori Martini,' draws many patrons. It's served in a slightly larger glass and, being a martini, has a high alcohol content. I've been a regular visitor every time I've come to Ginza since my arrival in Tokyo. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed, making it a great place to unwind.
