Afternoon tea at the Armani Building in Ginza, on the 11th floor. The lounge floor is located on the 11th floor, accessible by stairs from the restaurant floor on the 10th floor. There is a bar counter, sofa seating, and even private rooms in the back. The afternoon tea menu changes with the seasons, and this time it was an autumn-themed menu. The drinks were also served at just the right time, and I was able to enjoy a variety of them. The service was impeccable, and I was able to spend a wonderful and relaxing time. Thank you.
Thank you always. I've been friends with S, an Italian, for 13 years. I've been a regular customer since the Heinz Beck days, but this was the first time I got to chat with the chef. It was fun and delicious. And thank you for the wonderful service as always.
August 2023 I recently had the pleasure of enjoying Carmine's cooking, a chef I met during the Heinz Beck era. Carmine's cuisine is exceptional, with every dish in the full course being absolutely delicious. It's truly rare to find a restaurant where everything is so delectable. The food was perfect, simply perfect. Without a doubt, this meal surpassed the quality of a one-star Michelin restaurant. Every dish showcased meticulous attention to the finest ingredients: * Aged ham * Abundant truffles * Pasta resembling rice grains, developed over a year * Saffron priced at ¥4,000 per gram (visually resembling risotto, but pasta in texture) * Gazpacho featuring "Ogawa's fresh sea urchin" The main course was originally Ezo deer, but they kindly accommodated my preference and served A5 Wagyu sirloin instead. The water buffalo knife, renowned for its lightness, was incredibly user-friendly and exceptional. The restaurant staff has undergone a complete turnover, except for the sommelier. I requested sparkling water and mineral water, and while the first glass was provided, our glasses remained empty until we left, despite two full bottles of water on the table. I also sought wine recommendations, but it was challenging to convey my preferences to the sommelier. The wines we enjoyed were: * ANTINORI TIGNANELLO 2015 * Girlan Flora Cuvee Bianco Riserva 2017 The service provided by the staff at Roar was outstanding. When I took photos of each dish, Julien, who had transitioned from L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon, adjusted the lighting to ensure beautiful shots. Thank you for your assistance. I eagerly anticipate the Michelin announcement this year.
The Armani-inspired color scheme of the interior creates a calming atmosphere. The chairs are comfortable, the location is excellent, and I had a truly special experience. The amuse-bouche and cakes served during afternoon tea were all beautifully presented and delicious. The tea was a bit weak, though. The foreign staff provided exceptional service, always with a smile and a kind demeanor. Smiles are truly the best service, I realized once again. I definitely want to go back.
