A teppanyaki experience in a charming, traditional Japanese house. I was told the house is 97 years old and not a relocated building, so I felt a sense of history. The seasoning was simple, allowing the flavors of the ingredients to shine through. The service was also attentive. It was delicious.
I stumbled upon this teppanyaki restaurant while wandering around the Tsukiji area. I had been wanting to try it for a while, and finally got to visit! I ordered the Lunch Course A. The set included salad, Wagyu beef steak, white rice, and miso soup. I opted to change the white rice to garlic rice! The teppanyaki is cooked right in front of you, which is always exciting. I had the Wagyu beef steak cooked medium. It was so tender and flavorful! The 100g portion was just the right amount of food. You can upgrade to garlic rice for an extra charge, and I was blown away by the garlic rice cooked on the teppanyaki. They even made crispy rice crusts, which were delicious! After the meal, I had coffee in the cafe space on the second floor. The second floor is a stylish and chic space, and they also serve alcohol. It's a really lovely place, perfect for a special occasion. I'll definitely be back! Thank you for the delicious meal 🙂
This is an old Japanese-style house teppanyaki restaurant located in the back alleys of Tsukiji. The name of the restaurant is said to be inspired by Akira Kurosawa, the famous film director. The atmosphere is fantastic, with a teppanyaki floor on the first floor and a salon-like cafe on the second floor. The teppanyaki itself is just as impressive as the atmosphere, with both quality and quantity exceeding expectations. I ordered garlic rice for an additional price, and the crispy rice crust was delicious. After eating half, they poured broth over it to make ochazuke (tea rice), and the broth was so flavorful that I, who usually prefer garlic rice plain, wanted to order another serving of ochazuke. On the way up to the second floor, there are items displayed that seem to have been used in movies, which would be a treat for Kurosawa film fans. I enjoyed a leisurely dessert plate and coffee, making for a wonderful lunch time.
We enjoyed the Teppanyaki B course at this restaurant housed in a renovated traditional Japanese house. The meat was delicious, served in a calm and sophisticated atmosphere. Dessert was served in the salon on the second floor, accompanied by pleasant background music. This restaurant is highly recommended for celebrating a friend's birthday or a couple's anniversary.
I visited after a few years. The dinner courses here offer a wide variety. There are seven options: A to C, K course, early time specials, and more. This time I chose the affordable A course, but it wasn't quite enough. A course with soup and seafood would be better. The seasoning was light. The teppanyaki was good, but the dessert served on the second floor was exceptional in both atmosphere and taste. The service and staff's attentiveness were outstanding.
