I decided to try this restaurant after circling Tsukiji a few times. It was crowded with people waiting to get in, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I ordered the popular 5-piece, 10-nigiri set for ¥4,400. It wasn't on the menu, but it came with a miso soup with aosa seaweed. As expected of Tsukiji, the price was a bit steep for the size of the portions. I guess it's a tourist price for Tokyo, catering to foreigners. The taste was excellent though 👍
I visited in late 2023. I arrived at Haneda early in the morning and went straight to Tsukiji. I always end up here when I go to Tsukiji because you can eat sushi made by skilled chefs at a small counter for a reasonable price. Delicious sushi and hot sake in the morning is the best.
Even at Tsukiji Kagura, I love the food stalls 😊. I went there for the first time during Golden Week and luckily got a seat right away, but it filled up quickly 🈵. That said, there aren't many seats. The sushi 🍣 is definitely good, and I think all the stalls have the same quality of ingredients and technique. I really like the stall atmosphere, and it's great to enjoy sushi 🍣 with a little sip of cold sake 🍶. I recommend the tuna 🍣 set. The grilled tuna is out of this world, it's so delicious I even asked if it was Wagyu beef! I also asked about the sauce they used. Turns out the rice is seasoned with red vinegar and the fish is just lightly salted 🧂. It really made me realize how good Tsukiji sushi is. #Tsukiji #Kagura #Tuna #Sushi #Grilled
It was early in the morning, so the main store wasn't open yet, so I tried this one. It was delicious.
The food is simply outstanding! I had the 10-piece chef's choice, clam steamed in sake, rock oysters, grilled beef nigiri, and, though not pictured, maitake mushroom tempura. Even though it was a busy Sunday lunch, the service was incredibly fast, with orders coming out quickly.
