I finally visited the super famous "Tosenkaku" in Roppongi. ● I was completely satisfied! It's a high-class Chinese restaurant that doesn't unnecessarily try to be creative, serving straightforward and understandable dishes. ● Each person's dish is served on a small plate. ● The flavors are all excellent! You can enjoy a variety of dishes. ● The dough for wrapping the Peking duck is chewy and delicious. ● The chili shrimp and shrimp mayonnaise feature large, luxurious shrimp. ● There are private rooms available, making it suitable for dates, business entertainment, banquets, and various other occasions. ● It's located near the Roppongi intersection, making it a great choice for accompanying establishments.
I was taken to "Momo Senkaku Tokyo" for my birthday celebration. It's a stylish Chinese restaurant in Roppongi. Located a 3-minute walk from Roppongi Crossing, the entrance is hidden underground, giving it a secret hideaway feel. We sat at the counter that night and started with a toast of sparkling wine. We ordered the special course with shark fin. The first dish was a trio of vegetable appetizers. The cucumber with Sichuan pepper oil dressing and the turnip and red heart radish were colorful and visually appealing. Next came a trio of Chinese appetizers. We then enjoyed a white wine. The main course was Peking duck. The chewy dough wrapped around sweet and spicy chicken was delicious. The braised shark fin was rich and flavorful. The deep, rich flavor and smooth texture were amazing. I love shark fin. The seafood dish was a spicy stir-fry of conger eel with chili peppers and Sichuan peppercorns. The crispy batter and fluffy conger eel were perfect, and the spiciness was just right. The meat dish was sweet and sour pork. The tangy sauce coated the pork beautifully. The lotus root added a nice texture. Next came two dim sum dishes. The lamb dumplings were chewy and delicious. The juicy pork buns were also great. The spicy and sweet shrimp with chili sauce was delicious. It was packed with plump shrimp. Then came the mapo tofu. The mapo tofu was delicious, with plenty of Sichuan peppercorns for a tingling sensation. The course didn't include a final dish, so we ordered a seaweed clear soup noodle as an addition. The clear broth was refreshing and delicious. It was the perfect ending to the meal. I love Chinese restaurants, but I also appreciate stylish Chinese restaurants. Thank you for the meal!
We dined in a private room with six people after attending the Jingu Fireworks Festival. Each of us was able to choose a dish we liked, and there were many unique and elaborate dishes that you wouldn't find anywhere else. Everything was delicious. The atmosphere and service were both excellent. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
The dishes were all beyond the hype and reputation. Honestly, there isn't one standout signature dish, but every single one is good enough to be a signature dish. That's how high the quality is. Personally, I found the 'Yodare-dori' (Sichuan-style chicken) to be exceptionally delicious. It was the pinnacle of satisfaction. Definitely going back. Thank you for the wonderful meal.
This Chinese restaurant in Roppongi has delicious food across the entire menu. The course included all the major dishes like Peking duck, shark fin, and mapo tofu, which was great. The menu was well-balanced and the atmosphere was nice. I'd like to visit again sometime.
