First visit for lunch. Located on the 5th floor of a building near Higashi-Ginza. I sat at the counter. The 5,280 yen price tag is unbelievable for what you get. The seasonal dishes were meticulously prepared, the chef's unpretentious personality, and the stylish atmosphere. I had the tai chazuke (sea bream tea rice) for the finale and had to order another serving of rice. It was fantastic.
Stepping off the elevator in a building in Higashi-Ginza, you're greeted by a traditional Japanese house with a warm wooden atmosphere, dim lighting, and antique furnishings. This restaurant serves authentic Japanese cuisine featuring seasonal seafood and mountain produce. The soup stock, jellies, sauces, dressings, and garnishes are all meticulously prepared with the utmost care, showcasing the craftsmanship of the chefs. The signature dish and seasonal spring rolls are served piping hot, even the plates are warm. Each dish is presented on exquisite tableware, with even the spoons changing for each course. The soup bowl is custom-made and features a magnificent dragon, reflecting the restaurant's name. The rice, cooked in a clay pot, is served with a sesame sauce and grilled sea bream, making for a delightful tai-cha (sea bream tea) experience. For dessert, you can enjoy a refreshing Earl Grey ice cream. This restaurant is a place you'll want to visit every season.
A small, quiet restaurant with a counter seating six and two private table rooms (one for four people and one for six) located just off the street opposite the Kabuki-za Theatre. The dishes are beautifully presented on exquisite tableware. Every dish is meticulously prepared and absolutely delicious, leaving me completely satisfied. The rice cooked over a gas flame was shiny and flavorful, and I enjoyed a second helping with the crispy rice bits, turning it into a delicious tai chazuke (tea rice with grilled sea bream). I definitely plan to visit again.
First visit. On the 5th floor of the same building as Sushi Onodera. Four guys lined up at the counter. The head chef at our company and the chef here worked together and honed their skills, so this is definitely a recommended place. As expected, the food reflects the chef's experience at a renowned Ginza restaurant, with its flavor and ingenuity. The chef is also friendly and has a great atmosphere. I was particularly impressed by the grilled sesame tofu, uni and edamame spring rolls, tai chazuke, and the pistachio ice cream and Shine Muscat, and Pione grapes for dessert!
Finally got a reservation and went with 4 friends for a long-awaited visit! We enjoyed the spring flavors with all our senses ☆ The dishes were beautiful, some of them I'd never seen before. The amberjack sashimi was so fatty, we laughed thinking it was toro (fatty tuna)! The earthenware pot rice that came at the end was also amazing, I even had seconds. (lol) It made me realize how fast-paced my life has become, and I felt a gentle reminder to slow down and live life more leisurely. Thank you for a wonderful time!
