Japan Airlines Domestic First Class In-Flight Meal Review I was excited for the Italian in-flight meal, and even while it was being warmed up, the cabin was filled with a unique, herbaceous aroma. Every dish had a deep flavor. Even a single slice of ham, or a single carrot, had a carefully considered taste that was unlike any other in-flight meal I've had before. Each dish was worth savoring and chewing thoroughly. In that mood, the coffee-flavored panna cotta for dessert truly made me feel happy. Perhaps it was the effect of the virgin olive oil, but I felt truly content until the very end. I felt that this meal should definitely be enjoyed while gazing at the trees of the shrine. Appetizer * Ham platter from Kagoshima Fukudome Farm, served with green olives, paprika, and pickled carrots * Tuna and crab mantecato Main * Herb-crusted sea bream * Salsa Vermouth, roasted potatoes, broccoli, and vegetables with thyme * Petit bread * Butter Dessert * Coffee-flavored panna cotta * Extra virgin olive oil ------------------------------------- End of Month, Outbound Flight Appetizer * Caprese salad with olives * Shrimp and vegetable salad Main * Milanese-style cutlet of Sakurajima Miyubi Pork (black pork) with tomato sauce, roasted potatoes, and zucchini with mint * Petit bread * Butter Dessert * Coffee-flavored panna cotta * Extra virgin olive oil

On May 3, 2024, we celebrated our anniversary at Ristorante Hamazaki. My husband had booked the "Chef's Special Course with Select Caviar and Cold Pasta" for our holiday lunch. The aperitif of the day was a Crown Melon drink, which I chose. The special course for the day included: * Parmesan cheese croccante * Buffalo mozzarella cheese with fruit tomatoes * A selection of seasonal appetizers * Carrot espuma, whitebait with cheese, liver pâté, semi-dried tomatoes and broccoli, shrimp flan, fried maitake mushrooms, fish pâté, barley tomato stew & octopus breadcrumb bake * Latvian caviar cold spaghetti * Pasta of the day (snow crab and maitake mushrooms with tomato sauce) * Palate cleanser sorbet * Ehime mandarin orange sorbet * Fish of the day (sweetfish) or meat dish of the day * My husband had Wagyu beef, and I had saltimbocca. * Dessert assortment of the day Chef Hamazaki himself came to our table first, introducing the dishes of the day and asking if we had any allergies. I was happy that we could choose from two different meat dishes for the day. The selection of appetizers was truly luxurious! Everything was delicious, but my husband loved the shrimp flan with its rich, flavorful shrimp, while I was particularly fond of the crispy fried maitake mushrooms and the smooth, creamy carrot espuma. We shared the famous caviar cold pasta. There was a generous amount of caviar, so every bite was packed with flavor, right down to the last mouthful. Even though it was only the beginning of May, on a hot day like today, cold pasta with salty caviar was the perfect combination. The snow crab and maitake mushroom pasta with tomato sauce was also delicious, with a rich crab flavor in the sauce and chunks of crab meat. My saltimbocca was amazing, with the prosciutto on top perfectly crispy. The sauce came in three varieties: pork sauce, potato sauce, and paprika sauce, all of which were delightful. I also tried a bite of my husband's beef steak, which was tender and lean, served with a refreshing balsamic sauce. My husband had arranged for a celebratory message to be written on our dessert plate. Even after 20 years, he still thinks of such thoughtful touches, which makes me so happy. We took a picture with the celebratory plate against the backdrop of the pond. Every dish was delicious, and the atmosphere was fantastic, thanks to Chef Hamazaki's warm smile and the friendly staff. The restaurant has large windows, making it bright and airy, with a beautiful garden right in front. Despite its elegance, the relaxed atmosphere created by the staff and the Japanese scenery in front of us allowed us to unwind and enjoy ourselves. We left feeling happy and content, strolling hand-in-hand by the pond, admiring the plants, flowers, and lively carp. We talked about how we wanted to come back here even when we're older, and how we should live long lives. Who knew that such a wonderful restaurant was just a street away from Harajuku and Omotesando? We will definitely be back. Ristorante Hamazaki @ Harajuku ~Chef's Recommended Course Featuring Cold Pasta with Carefully Selected Caviar~ This is one of the top Italian restaurants in Tokyo. This was my second visit since they moved to the second floor of the Togo Memorial Hall in Harajuku. Every dish is delicious and reflects the chef's unique sense of taste. The first course was a consommé-like dish featuring vichyssoise and abalone with free-range chicken. It was incredibly refined and delicious. The appetizer platter is always a delight with its variety of dishes. The highlight of the course was the cold pasta with Latvian caviar. I was grateful to be able to enjoy it. The shrimp risotto was a bisque-style dish that was absolutely delicious. For the main course, I had the specialty quail, grilled and served with a special sauce. The grilled veal and beef fillet that my two companions ordered looked delicious as well. There were two desserts. The special pudding combined with thin cookies is absolutely delicious. The peach soup, which was newly introduced that day, is a must-try in the summer. The design cappuccino is also cute. If you're looking for a slightly luxurious lunch, make a reservation here. #RistoranteHamazaki #TogoMemorialHall #HarajukuItalian #HarajukuGourmet #HarajukuLunch #PeachSoup #AyuRisotto #LatvianCaviar
