The owner, who originally started in Shinjuku's Teppei, opened a branch in Ikebukuro and then expanded to Hawaii. Due to the impact of COVID-19, they returned to Japan and opened a new location in front of Meiji Jingu Shrine. The interior is very stylish and beautiful, a far cry from the old image. It was Sunday lunchtime, so the restaurant was packed. We enjoyed appetizers and drinks while waiting for the meat. The shredded cabbage is the best I've ever had. The garlic was delicious. We ordered the filet and the skirt steak, both cut into cubes, making them easy to eat. The sauces were all delicious, but the garlic soy sauce was the best. It was absolutely delicious. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely be back.

If you're looking for steak, I'd recommend going elsewhere. While the meat, which is cut like skirt steak, does have a steak-like flavor, I wouldn't call it a true steak. It comes with butter and soy sauce, along with side dishes of cabbage, macaroni kimchi, and chicken bone and seaweed soup. And, there's Chinese pop music playing constantly.

I've been a regular customer since my first visit to the Ikebukuro store over 10 years ago. Compared to Ikebukuro, the Harajuku store has undergone a dramatic transformation. It's no longer the quaint, retro-chic place it used to be, but has evolved into a stylish and sophisticated space. However, the delicious food remains unchanged, and the friendly staff are just as welcoming as ever. It's a place I always look forward to returning to.

Harajuku is full of trendy and Instagram-worthy shops, but it's also a great place to wander around solo. I ordered the 120g beef sirloin steak, and everything was delicious, from the meat to the rice and the dressing.

In my opinion, the incredible steak with its devilishly delicious flavor is absolutely the best at Teppei. The salad with its garlic sauce, the flavorful and concentrated wakame soup, and the shiny, sweet rice are all amazing. Then there's the steak, cut into bite-sized pieces, so tender and bursting with juicy flavor. The garlic is endlessly tempting. The elegant and flavorful 'kanzuri' provided on the table is also a perfect accompaniment. Ah, so delicious! Thank you always.
