—Overall Impression——— I stopped by during a stroll through Asakusa. It was during a holiday weekend, so there was a long line, but the turnover was fast and I was able to buy it quickly. There was an eating space two shops down, and everyone was standing and eating around it. They also seemed to be selling beer there, and some people were eating their menchi-katsu with a can of beer in hand. —Food——— Menchi-katsu —Service—— Takeout only. —Access——— Located between Denpo-in Street and Asakusa Temple Kindergarten. —Parking——— None —Payment Methods——— Paid in cash.
It was very crowded around noon, but I came back after 4 PM and waited in line for about 5 minutes. The onion flavor was strong. It was simply delicious. At ¥350 per piece, it's a bit pricey. Considering the value for money, I wouldn't recommend it.
I finally went to Asakusa Menchi for the first time, and the menchi was surprisingly delicious and smelled amazing. I think everyone would agree that the menchi is incredibly tasty. While you can't eat the menchi standing up after you buy it, there's a small shop next door where you can eat it. Even though it's always crowded, if you're in Asakusa, you should definitely try the popular Asakusa Menchi! 😊💯
This is a must-see spot when visiting Asakusa. They use a blend of "Koza Buta," a brand of pork from Kanagawa Prefecture, and Wagyu beef, resulting in a rich flavor and a perfect sweetness. They say that they fry each piece carefully and with love every morning so that you can enjoy it freshly fried. You'll receive your order right away, so you won't have to wait long. There's also an eat-in corner in the building next door, so you can eat there. Even in the rain, there was a line, so it's definitely a popular spot.
This is a famous shop for menchi-katsu (deep-fried minced meat cutlets). You can't eat them on the street, so I had mine at the eat-in space two shops down. The price is a bit high for a tourist area, but the menchi-katsu itself was full of juicy meat and very delicious. It's piping hot, so be careful not to burn yourself!
