You can enjoy KENZO's wines here! The first floor has a counter where you can enjoy light meals, while the second floor offers full-fledged dining. They offer wine pairings with each dish, carefully selected to complement the flavors. 😊 I'm planning to attend their dinner party in June.
I wanted something sweet to end my meal, so I stopped by. I was hoping for gateau chocolat, but they weren't serving it, so I got a selection of baked goods instead. The service was excellent, and they were very accommodating to my requests. I'd like to come back earlier next time and enjoy some wine at my leisure.
Named "Elegance Vinotheque", KENZO ESTATE ROPPONGI is a wine bar where I enjoyed a wine tasting set with detailed explanations. This bar is known for its sophisticated space that connects Japanese and Californian wines, offering a refined wine experience. The tasting set featured several representative wines from KENZO ESTATE, each with a detailed explanation of its characteristics and background. This allowed me to not only enjoy the wines but also deepen my understanding of their origins and production methods, enriching the overall experience. The interior is modern and calm, making it suitable for dates or special evenings with loved ones. The staff is highly professional, providing detailed information about each wine and offering suggestions tailored to individual interests and preferences. KENZO ESTATE ROPPONGI is a recommended spot for both wine enthusiasts seeking to expand their knowledge and those simply looking to relax and enjoy wine, thanks to its high-quality wines and attentive service. While the prices are a bit high, the promotional efforts are quite strong. Be sure to firmly decline any QR code scanning or wine promotions (I unknowingly purchased an additional ¥30,000 wine). I look forward to visiting again and discovering new wines at this charming bar.
The wine is simply delicious! It's impossible not to enjoy trying different varieties. I absolutely love Ai! I remember a special bottle wrapped in elegant fabric, but I think I gifted it to my partner. My friend should have one left. The food is also delicious and pairs well with the wine (though maybe it should be the other way around?). At the Roppongi branch, I recommend the first-floor counter for a daytime or late-night drink. It's a blissful experience to enjoy a large platter of food and pick at your favorites while sipping wine (though I haven't been recently, so I'm not sure if the system is still the same). The photo shows four red wines lined up together from when the restaurant first opened. Maybe it was taken at the Hiroo branch? The selection has become much more extensive recently! The Hiroo and Osaka branches are both cozy and nice, but the Roppongi branch feels the most relaxing.
For your first drink, be sure to order the exclusive champagne, 'Sei,' which can only be found here. You won't be disappointed! If you're a heavy drinker, you can enjoy a pairing with the course, but for those with average tolerance, you might get tipsy. My recommendation is to order 'Sei,' 'Ai,' and 'Yumeku' to match the course. They are incredibly delicious! There are two courses available, but I think it's fun to choose the one with fewer dishes and order some favorites from the à la carte menu to share. I personally ordered the Kenzo Curry and the Sichuan Peppercorn Truffle Salt Potatoes in addition to the course, and both were delicious. Of course, all the dishes in the course are amazing! The portions are just right! The dishes alternate between Japanese and Western styles, so you won't get bored with the flavors! I've decided to add this place to my personal Michelin Guide and come here every week. ♡
