We arrived at the shop at 12:50 pm on Saturday, and it was already full. There was a constant stream of customers coming in to buy cakes to take away, and some were picking up pre-ordered cakes. The popularity of their cakes was evident. The shop is quite compact, with four counter seats, two tables for two, and one table for one. There is one toilet with Aesop hand soap. There was one staff member at the counter, who was quite cool. We ordered and paid upfront upon entering. Payment methods accepted include cash, credit cards, and PayPay. We learned about the one-drink minimum and the one-hour seating limit for busy times from the staff. They also mentioned that there are cakes in the refrigerator that are not displayed in the window, so it's important to check. Our food arrived about 15 minutes after we sat down. I chose the honey cheesecake, which had a smooth texture and a subtle honey flavor. It was quite delicious. The milk brew is a cold brew coffee with milk. It had a stronger coffee flavor than a cafe latte. The rooibos tea (hot) was also consistently good.
**Visit Date:** October 2024 (Sunday) **Wait Time:** 20-30 minutes **Number of People Waiting:** 8 **Ambiance:** There's no sign outside the shop, and you line up along the wall in front of the store. It would be tough to wait in the summer or winter. The cakes and tarts are priced between ¥900-¥1,100 each, which is quite expensive, but considering the location, it's understandable! ● One drink per person is required. ● There's a 60-minute time limit, so it's not a place to linger. You have to eat, chat a bit, and then leave. **Food:** I ordered a crepe and Basque cheesecake. The taste is definitely delicious!
I visited for the first time on a weekday during a heavy downpour. When I arrived, there were only two groups of women, but despite the bad weather, customers kept coming in after me and it was soon full. It was clear how popular it was. I ordered my favorite scones with coffee. I love this style of two smaller scones with jam and the like. The texture was very light and delicious. I also took home two Basque cheesecakes. I will definitely go back.
It's a lovely shop with a calm atmosphere. I had planned to try the Basque cheesecake on my last visit, but I ended up choosing something else. * Gateau Chocolat: The top layer is soft chocolate with a rich flavor. * Cold Brew: I ordered it without knowing what it was. I think it's a refreshing coffee. Next time, I'll definitely get the Basque cheesecake...
A long-awaited return visit. I went on a weekday afternoon around 2 pm and was able to get in right away. What I had: - Smoked Honey Basque Cheesecake (¥820) - Gateau Chocolat (¥660) - Drip Coffee (¥780) As expected, their Basque cheesecake is top-notch. It melts in your mouth, leaving a gentle sweetness that spreads. You can also taste the rich cheese flavor, so I savored it slowly. The Gateau Chocolat is sweet, with an intense chocolate flavor that's divine. Ordering it was definitely the right choice. The delicious sweets and coffee made for a very satisfying cafe time. Weekends are usually packed, so weekdays are definitely the way to go.
