The beer here is truly delicious! It's a quality you won't find anywhere else. The appetizers are all carefully chosen to complement the beer, and I enjoyed them immensely. While the price point isn't the most budget-friendly, the quality of the food and drinks justifies the cost, making it a satisfying experience.
The beer and beer cocktails, along with the various dishes that paired well with them, were all delicious. The recommendations for dishes that best matched each beer were very helpful. The beer cocktails were also very tasty. However, as a very popular establishment, it was quite crowded and the interior felt a bit cramped. This is typical for a beer hall, but it's something to keep in mind.
“Draft beer is more affordable in a pitcher than a glass.” I visited on a Saturday afternoon in June 2024. “Bonito Haranbo and Eggplant Tartare - with Kita-kawa Village’s Umami Salt Ponzu”: ¥860 (tax included, same below) Food 3.4/5 | Value 3.5/5 The seasoning was just right and quite delicious. “Golden Fried Chicken (2 pieces)”: ¥580 Food 3.4/5 | Value 3.5/5 The fried chicken was tender. Of course, it was freshly fried. Two of us ordered the “Ebisu Pitcher” for ¥990 and the “Premium Ale Pitcher” for ¥990, in addition to the food, for a total of ¥3,420 (tax included). The draft beer is served in a tumbler-sized glass, but the pitcher is slightly larger than a medium-sized pitcher. I thought it was more worthwhile to have it in a pitcher.
We went in for lunch and enjoyed a variety of light snacks that went well with beer. The pasta was thick and soft, perhaps made with fresh noodles?
I went to a bar to try a beer that's only available there. It was cherry blossom season, so the place was packed with reservations, but I got there early and was able to snag a seat at the counter without waiting. I was able to get a beer at half price using an app, and the food was delicious. It's definitely worth making a reservation during busy seasons.
