I came to Roppongi for a business appointment! I arrived a bit early, so I was looking for a place to grab a cold drink in Midtown. That's when I found DEAN&DELUCA! This store is super compact, with a very small eat-in space. So I got an iced coffee to go and took a break at a table in a nearby shared space (laughs). The extreme heat has continued since the rainy season, and I've definitely been going to coffee shops more often when I'm out and about... (sweating)
I had the S House Blend Coffee (hot) for 438 yen (tax included). I was told it would take a while because it was hand-dripped, but it took quite a long time. The female staff member apologized profusely and brought it to me in a hurry, saying, "I'm sorry to keep you waiting." Perhaps in this day and age, people don't care about things like apologizing profusely or rushing, but I think that consideration when something can't be provided immediately is more important than the speed of service (even for just a cup of coffee).
I had lunch here! The atmosphere was great and I enjoyed myself. I think the interior and quality of the food are commensurate with the price!
I used the space inside Midtown for remote work and online meetings. While there are some outdoor seating areas, it can get a bit noisy. I was pleasantly surprised to find avocado toast, which made me happy.
I visited this cafe on a weekend afternoon. I was wandering around Midtown looking for a nice cafe to relax in between appointments in Roppongi, and I found this one!^^ It's a stylish open-air cafe with a monochrome theme, but the interior isn't very spacious and only has counter seating. If you want to spread out, I recommend using the terrace seating. The pink grapefruit soda, which was a limited-time menu item when I visited, was refreshingly sweet and delicious, perfect for getting some work done.★
