They sell Fauchon's bread and prepared foods exclusively for takeout. There is no eat-in option. Fauchon is on the pricier side, but their food is consistently delicious. While their croissants and pain de mie are popular, I personally prefer their seasonal breads.
I took out a pâté can from the deli in the basement. The pie crust is doing a great job. The flavor is mildly salty, and the meatiness is just right. It could be a bit too rich, but the pie crust neutralizes it, making it a proper dish. Delicious!
I'm a fan of bakeries. I recently bought some "Moist Fresh French Bread" - a fluffy, chewy French bread! On October 23, 2021, I visited a cafe and had a croque monsieur and hot coffee. The croque monsieur was so gooey and delicious!
There were many terrace seats and I wanted to sit there, but it was raining on and off so I went inside. The clientele was good and I was able to spend a relaxing time. I stopped by for tea time, so I had cake and iced coffee. It was a classic shortcake, but I liked the sponge cake with its egg flavor. As a negative point, I would have liked a coaster and napkin for the iced coffee.
• Ham and Bacon Quiche - Around ¥500 Creamy, juicy, and delicious! The pie crust is a bit soggy, but the smooth texture is characteristic of a quiche. • Parmesan - Around ¥500 Rich, milky cheese mousse. Is the topping a crispy cheese? It doesn't taste like a cracker. The aroma and milky flavor of the cheese itself are truly Fauchon. • Carrot Mousse - Around ¥500 Sweet, milky, and smooth mousse. The epitome of French cuisine. • Pork Rillette - Around ¥500 Pickles with a tangy flavor. It has a hint of liver, but also the characteristic fibrous texture and juiciness of rillettes. It tastes even better on a baguette.
