It's about a 5-minute walk from Kinshicho Station. It's relatively spacious with plenty of seats. It's also nice that it's open early in the morning. I ordered the S-size gelato daifuku mochi for 580 yen (tax included). It was matcha gelato with a mochi shell. I was told to wait at a table, but I asked if I could watch them make it. (You can see the preparation from outside the order counter.) The matcha gelato was wrapped in soft, chewy mochi ✨ The mochi shell was crispy and delicious. I love the round visual appeal. There are about 10 different flavors of gelato, and you can choose your favorite to have it made for you. You can even have two flavors. You can also choose whether to have it in a mochi shell or a cup.
I visited Coco de Coffee in Kinshicho because I was curious about their Daifuku Mochi gelato. I chose the recommended matcha flavor (¥580). However, after a while, the mochi started to peel off, and the mochi and ice cream didn't blend well together. It would be interesting to put it on a monaka, but it wasn't the kind of experience where you could enjoy the flavors as one. It was a bit disappointing. After eating this, I realized how great Yukimi Daifuku is. The shop was packed on Sunday afternoon.
I was able to get a table for lunch on a holiday without waiting. I ordered the adult banana juice, gelato daifuku, and sausage pie. The banana juice had espresso in it, and the bitterness of the coffee paired perfectly with the natural sweetness of the banana! There were many gelato flavors to choose from, and I went with rum raisin. However, the raisins were finely chopped, and the rum flavor was subtle. Personally, I prefer larger chunks of rum raisin. The sausage pie was delicious with its hint of spice! It was served at room temperature, so it would be great if they offered a toasting service before serving. The three items cost 1480 yen, making it a great value for the price!

The crumbly texture is a bit dry, but still moist. The spices are strong, especially the ginger! The frosting is a classic carrot cake flavor, with a tangy and sweet taste. There are lots of walnuts throughout!
