When it comes to anmitsu, Mihashi is the place to be. I love it so much that I always stop by whenever I'm at Tokyo Station. They have a wide variety of menu items, but I always end up ordering the shiratama cream anmitsu. It's quite a generous portion. You can enjoy both chewy shiratama and mochi. Their anko is smooth and incredibly delicious 😋. The seasonal chestnut cream anmitsu was also delicious! It had both chestnut simmered in its skin and candied chestnuts, a true chestnut feast 🥰. I personally preferred the chestnuts simmered in their skin. There's always a line, but it doesn't have a long-stay vibe, so the turnover is relatively quick.

◎7th Visit: September 2024 • Added photos (4) • Chestnut Cream Anmitsu @ ¥980 (tax included) I've been a regular customer since 2015, visiting intermittently. While it doesn't have as many seats as the main branch in Ueno, it's bright, clean, and easy to use for both solo diners and groups. The "Chestnut Cream Anmitsu" comes with four chestnuts – two simmered in soy sauce and two candied. You can also add toppings. Personally, I always get the soft cream.

I encountered an anmitsu so delicious that it made me truly grateful to have been born Japanese. The textures of the agar, beans, mochi, and soft serve cream blended together to create a wonderful harmony. It's always packed, both on weekdays and weekends, and about half the customers were foreigners. It's so delicious that I even felt happy thinking that they might come to love Japanese anmitsu.

The cream anmitsu was delicious. The gentle sweetness of the red bean paste was a perfect match. The soft serve ice cream was rich and flavorful 😋. The staff, an older woman, was kind and not at all like the typical Tokyo staff member. ^_^

My absolute No. 1 for Japanese sweets is "Mihashi"! Whenever I return home from Narita by LCC, I always take a break here. Many of my friends are also "Mihashi" fans. The reason is that none of their menu items disappoint. This day was a weekday afternoon. As soon as I arrived at Tokyo Station, I headed straight to the basement's Ichiban Gai. Wow! They have a seasonal anmitsu! This seasonal "Wakamomo" ✨ The green, plum-like appearance is "Wakamomo." Compared to the pink peaches harvested in autumn, the texture is firmer and smaller, but the flavor is definitely peach. It doesn't have the ripeness of autumn peaches, but it's juicy and fresh! I'm so glad I got to eat Wakamomo this year. Apparently, it sells out quickly in years with poor harvests. The Wakamomo Cream Anmitsu has four Wakamomo on top. The deliciousness of the kanten (agar-agar) is one thing, but the mandarin oranges and kyuhi (glutinous rice mochi) are also soft and delicious, and the koshian (sweet bean paste) is so elegant. And anmitsu with soft serve ice cream is surprisingly rare, so it's precious. *Anmitsu Mihashi* 1-9-1 Marunouchi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo Tokyo Station Ichiban Gai B1 Floor ☆*:.。. .。.:*☆☆*:.。. .。.:*☆☆*:.。. .。.:☆*:.。. .。 • There are lines during weekend cafe time. • It's less crowded on weekdays in the morning or afternoon. • The staff are kind and will refill your tea regularly. • The space between seats is narrow. • Service is quick after ordering. • Credit cards, QUICPay, and PayPay are accepted. • Many families come here. • Takeout is available.
