I went to this cafe because it seemed like they had substantial meals. I ordered the daily plate, but the taste was pretty average, and the side dishes weren't very good. (The vegetables were delicious though.) The coffee wasn't good either, so I think you'd be fine expecting a family restaurant level of quality. The staff were friendly, but they lacked the attentiveness you'd expect from a restaurant. Considering the cost of dining out, I wouldn't go back.
This is LS Cafe, located near Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station on the Hanzomon Subway Line. They offer morning and lunch menus. It's a stylish place.
Located in Kiyosumi, a highly competitive cafe district, this cafe is relatively easy to get into even on weekends. The chances of getting in without waiting are high. Plus, the lunch plates start at ¥1,100, making it great value for money. The cafe has tables for two to four people, and there's also a terrace. It's perfect for casual use or a quick stop when you're tired from a walk. They also have a wide selection of desserts and food. It's also conveniently located near the station, which is a plus.
It feels more like a restaurant than a cafe. The register is self-service and it's mostly families and locals, so it might not be ideal for a date.
This seems to be a cafe that uses organic vegetables. The salad on the plate was very generous. The potato soup was also very delicious, with a strong potato flavor. The interior is bright and clean, and the staff's service and speed of service were very impressive.
