The Sanマルクカフェ located in Asakusa ROX. As expected of Asakusa's Roku-ku district, it's bustling with people, and the Sanマルクカフェ is nestled within. The girl at the register has a lovely smile. The interior design is typical of the chain. It's designed with a chic, burnt brown color. From the entrance, the store appears a bit narrow and elongated. Regarding internet access, they claim to have both Wi-Fi and power outlets. However, when I visited, I couldn't find either. But according to online information, power outlets do exist! Also, the Wi-Fi is only for users of specific carriers. It's limited to the Wi-Fi provided by the three carriers: docomo, au, and softbank. Apparently, there's no Sanマルク-branded Wi-Fi. Perhaps it's a trend for customers to flock to places with such facilities. All the sweets look delicious in a classic way, but the chocolate croissant is the store's signature item, so it's always available. The moderate sweetness and the crispy texture of the croissant are great. However, lately, the variety of sweets has been increasing. I wonder if it's because there are so many female customers? The sign mentions a 'Deniburan,' which seems to be a croissant-based pie with cream on top. It looks incredibly delicious.

It was a hot day, so I stopped by for a break. There was no bread, so I ordered a pasta set (carbonara). When it came out, I was surprised to find that the pasta was cold. The noodles were also too hard, almost raw. I won't be coming back here again. The fact that there were insects on the bread made me question the hygiene of this place.

I've been a regular customer here for a while. I really enjoy the bread at San-マルク (though I rarely get the Choco Cro). I love the seats facing the window. There's a little square outside with a row of sunflower arrangements and a small fountain, which makes the space feel very open and inviting. The bread at San-マルク often has a croissant-like texture. It's more like a flaky pastry, light and crispy. I always ask for my bread to be warmed up. The staff rarely offer to do it, so you have to ask yourself. Warm bread is a whole different experience! I highly recommend it! Even convenience store bread tastes much better when it's warmed up! Some breads cool down quickly, while others stay warm for a while. The Royal Milk Tea tastes like a real Royal Milk Tea (not watery). It has a slight bitterness that lingers on the tongue. Still, for 380 yen, it's a good deal for a non-watery Royal Milk Tea.

My phone was about to die, so I was looking for a place to charge it. I found this Sanマルクカフェ online. While there aren't many outlets, it was nice to be able to charge my phone and relax with a cup of coffee.

This is the Sanマルク Cafe located on the first floor of Asakusa ROX. The food and drinks are delicious, as expected from Sanマルク. There are a decent number of seats, and the atmosphere is calm, so I think it's a good place to work on your computer, but there are no power outlets. There's also a smoking area, which I personally dislike, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
