Online reservation. This was my fifth visit, including my trip to Kichijoji. In the past, I had to line up around 8 am to get a table, but now it's much more convenient with online reservations. The well-seasoned hamburger is first seared quickly over charcoal, then moved to a different area to cook slowly, resulting in juicy, incredibly delicious meat. There are flavor-changing items available, but I realized that the best way to enjoy it is simply as it is. The rice is also carefully selected, with each grain distinct and very tasty. They seem to source different types of rice each time, always choosing the best. Today's rice was from Mie Prefecture, a Koshihikari variety. You get one free raw egg, and the combination of the yolk and the hamburger is simply divine. I will definitely be back again and again.
I visited around 7:30 PM on a weekday. It's fully booked, so I was able to enter within 10 minutes after purchasing a ticket. By the way, it was my first time visiting, so I couldn't find the entrance, which is like a hidden gem, and I ended up searching for it (laughs). The seats are relatively narrow, and they explain that you should sit between the condiments. Throughout the meal, they provided detailed explanations, so I could enjoy my meal without any confusion! The hamburger was cooked to a point where a hint of redness remained. The meat juice dripped onto the plate, so I had to rescue it quickly. The texture was so tender that it could be easily cut with chopsticks. The rice was just enough for one hamburger. If you want to enjoy different flavors, you'll need more rice.
I made a reservation for lunch and was seated on time. I ordered the charcoal-grilled hamburger set, which comes with one raw egg per person and unlimited rice refills. The hamburger was easy to bite into, allowing me to savor the juicy meat. The variety of condiments was impressive, offering different flavor combinations. I enjoyed the experience and will definitely make a reservation again!
The location of the restaurant is pretty bad (it's halfway up the stairs leading to the hotel district in Dogenzaka, and across the street from a fashion health club), so be careful if you're going with a woman, as it might be awkward. But once you step inside, it's a whole different world. A counter seat that goes all the way around, and in the middle, a massive amount of grilled hamburgers - a sight I've never seen before. Three small hamburgers, rice, and an egg for 1800 yen seemed expensive at first, but after finishing, I was very satisfied. The meat was completely odorless, the abundant condiments kept me from getting bored, the delicious rice was refillable, and I was completely full. However, I couldn't help but feel like there wasn't enough vegetables, so it would be great if they could add another type of pickled vegetable.
The charcoal-grilled hamburger is juicy and flavorful, and you can enjoy it with various condiments without getting bored. The egg also goes well with the hamburger, and I was satisfied. For an extra ¥100, you can get a yakiniku sauce, which is also delicious. It's no wonder reservations are hard to get. However, I wish the drinks were a bit cheaper.
