My favorite boulangerie! The shop is bright and filled with delicious-looking bread. While the stollen is only sold during the Christmas season, they offer seasonal breads year-round, so you can enjoy them anytime! It's also a great choice for a small gift. 🎁 There is no eat-in space.
This bakery is located inside Shibuya Hikarie. I love it so much that I've lost count of how many times I've been there. This time, I tried their multigrain baguette for the first time. It's 350 yen for a whole loaf, but since it was my first time, I bought a half loaf, already sliced. It was 181 yen, which is very affordable. The crust was crispy, and the end was like a cracker. It was a flavorful bread with sunflower seeds, oats, and other grains.
Le Pain de Joel Robuchon, a renowned bakery located beneath the bustling Busta Shinjuku, is a popular spot in the Newoman Shinjuku building. The stylish and sophisticated atmosphere draws in a steady stream of customers. While I opted for takeout this time, it seems they also have seating available. --- **Order:** - Cream Bread - ¥350 --- **Cream Bread:** The moment I took a bite of the cream bread, I was amazed by the smooth and rich custard cream! The bread itself is fluffy and soft, with a subtle hint of buttery flavor. The sweetness of the cream is just right, making it a flavor that I could easily enjoy again and again!
This bakery is run by the famous restaurant. I tried some basic croissants and curry bread to take out. As advertised, the bread is of the same quality as what they serve at the restaurant, with a moist and crispy texture that was delicious. The packaging was also meticulous, with a cooling agent included for even a single iced pastry. They also have a wide selection of packaged stollen and baked goods, making it a great place to pick up gifts. I highly recommend this bakery.
I stopped by after the Mug Fes in Shibuya. I had bought a lot of hard-style bread at the Mug Fes, so I wanted something different. This bakery is located on the 1st floor of Hikarie, right as you enter. It's small and the queue for the register is in a bit of an awkward spot, but it can't be helped. Their autumn limited-edition pastries had already started. * Chestnut and Blackcurrant Croissant This croissant is incredibly flaky and filled with a generous amount of chestnut cream. The tartness of the blackcurrant is a wonderful accent. * Chestnut Cream Bread The bread itself has a subtle sweetness, and it's filled with a rich chestnut cream. The bread is coated, so it has a crispy exterior, but the inside is soft and delicious. * Chatigne It looks exactly like a chestnut! The bread is soft and hard, and it contains a hard chestnut paste. It's more substantial than it looks. They have a lot of seasonal items, so it never gets boring. I want to visit this bakery regularly.
