A cafe with friendly staff and delicious food. Every shop on Omotesando is crowded, and this one was no exception. However, I was lucky enough to get a table in the late afternoon. The cafe has a basement level, so there are plenty of seats. After I ordered, I saw the staff showing other customers colorful and delicious-looking cake samples. They looked so good that I ordered a cake as well. Both the apple cheesecake and lemon tart were not too sweet and were very delicious. The lighting was dim, creating a nice atmosphere, and there was a wide variety of desserts, so I definitely want to go back again.
I visited for the first time on a weekday at 12:30 pm and had the Gorgonzola chicken lunch. The cheese was authentic and delicious, and the chicken itself was so flavorful, you could tell it was high-quality with just one bite. The meal came with a main course, salad, wakame soup, and a drink for 1300 yen. My friend always orders this when she's feeling tired, and it truly is a meal that revitalizes both body and mind. Thank you so much! 🙏🏻✨
Although it's a street-level store, there's nothing immediately recognizable as Lotus, so it's best to come with a mental image of the exterior. The front desk was unmanned, and I had to approach them to be greeted and guided. I was taken to the basement, but finding a seat there was a bit of a struggle, and there was no cell phone reception. There was a guest Wi-Fi network, but it didn't connect. In this day and age, it's unacceptable to have no cell phone reception. The menu was extensive. The staff lacked enthusiasm, their voices were soft and hard to hear. They were in casual attire, making it difficult to identify who was staff. The place was crowded, yet some staff stood around with their arms crossed, giving the impression of negligence. The interior itself was fairly stylish, with various decorations on the walls. The basement had a relatively high ceiling, creating a sense of openness. Since I was alone, I would have preferred a counter seat on the first floor where there was cell phone reception. The clientele was predominantly female, about 90%. The food arrived in about 10 minutes. ◯ Salt Konbu Fried Rice It had whitebait on top, along with seaweed, salt konbu, and lettuce, making it more like a rice dish than fried rice. The flavor was quite strong thanks to the salt konbu, which blended well with the hijiki seaweed and was delicious. I dislike whitebait, but it wasn't overpowering, which was good for me. The portion size was slightly large. △ Coleslaw It looked like rabbit food. The taste was like convenience store coleslaw without corn, with a strong sourness and parsley on top. △ Oolong Tea The glass was an octagonal shape, and the coaster was cute. The oolong tea was ordinary. ◯ Caramel Mascarpone I ordered this after the meal. It was delicious! The appearance was beautiful, with multiple layers of color, resembling a cheesecake. The taste started with the sweetness of the top layer, followed by a slightly bitter aftertaste. The creamy texture was nice and not too heavy. It's a shame that this place is featured in the media. They need to urgently address staff training and the cell phone reception issue. At another table, they brought out a birthday cake plate, but they just carried it over without any fanfare, which was disappointing. The menu is extensive, and I'm sure everything is delicious, given the effort they put into it. I could hear the kitchen sounds, which were more like those of a restaurant than a cafe.
This restaurant is located in a residential area, housed in a steel-framed building with a basement. Upon entering, you'll find an abundance of miscellaneous goods and a large display case filled with cakes. A few years ago, I was brought here by a senior colleague from my company. I was deeply impressed by the chestnut and gorgonzola penne, the uni pizza, and the salt-preserved kelp fried rice, and have been a regular visitor ever since, though not as frequently. This time, it was a long time coming, so I ordered the chestnut and gorgonzola penne and a bear-shaped cake. This flavor is something I can't replicate at home... I was happy to see that my companion enjoyed it as well. The staff are also very friendly. Be careful of the stairs and uneven steps.
I visited a popular cafe in Omotesando for lunch. The exterior of the shop was simple, without any flashy signs. But once inside, you're greeted by a display of delicious-looking sweets like cakes and puddings in a glass case. There are spaces on the first floor and in the basement, with a decent number of seats. I ordered the avocado toast and lotus seed pudding, both of which were absolutely delicious.
