I was craving bread and looked for a bakery in the train station, and this is where I found it. The bread was definitely delicious, but the price was too high. Maybe it's because it's in the station.

I love this bakery, but I'm concerned about the bread being sold in open baskets... 🥴💦 It's been a while since COVID-19 was downgraded to Class 5, so maybe they're feeling relaxed? But the pandemic and seasonal flu are still very much around, even if they're not being reported. This location has a lot of young children, and I see them getting right up close to the bread, almost touching it. It makes me lose my appetite. 😠 I wish they would individually wrap the bread or sell it in cases. The store is already so small. Because of this, I only bought items that were already bagged. To top it off, the staff seemed spaced out and didn't seem to hear what I was saying. The Omiya Ekueto branch is 100 times better. I wondered why the ratings were so low, but now I understand. The photos are of the limited-edition Karuizawa Matcha Milk and Karuizawa Lemonade. The lemonade was delicious! 🍋✨ The bread itself is innocent.

Asano-ya's bread is delicious, but it's a bit pricey. 🥹 One loaf costs over ¥300, so buying two really adds up. 🥺 But, the famous Beatles couple visited the Karuizawa main store, and the pizza dough at Pizeria is made by Asano-ya! ✨ My sister sometimes buys bread at the Ueno Ekueto store, and I buy it too. 😄 We also buy it at the Ginza Matsuya department store. ☺️

It's unbelievable that a bakery selling such expensive bread with an eat-in corner doesn't even offer heating options. Even budget-friendly chain stores do that. I walked in without knowing and ended up eating a beef stew pie cold, with the fat inside solidified and making it awful. The bread with cheese (which should have been melted) was also hard. This was the first time I've encountered a proper bakery that didn't offer heating, and I can only say that all the bread tasted bad. It seems they don't even want to provide a simple toaster for customers to use themselves. The eat-in area is also incredibly cramped, with the seats blocking the aisle and making it impossible to reach the back seats. I won't be going back and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I ordered bread to go and iced coffee, and after I sat down, an employee told me that takeout orders can't be eaten in the store. The prices might be different, but I won't be coming back. The employee's attitude was terrible. The bread wasn't bad, but it's usually hard when I buy it. If you're buying bread at Ueno Station, you'd be better off getting it from NewDays.
