We visited this restaurant for lunch on Sunday after visiting a museum. We didn't make a reservation, but we were able to get a table at 1:30 PM. The short lunch course (appetizer, main course, dessert, and drink) was 2750 yen. You can add a celebratory champagne for an additional 500 yen. The corn cold soup appetizer was truly delicious. The lemon aroma filled my mouth, and the corn sorbet and soup blended together for a rich flavor. For the main course, I chose the fish dish, which was steamed sea bass. It was also tender and delicious. The American cherry clafoutis and milk ice cream for dessert had a nostalgic feel and matched the atmosphere of the restaurant. While the portion size was a bit small, I think 2750 yen is a reasonable price for the quality of the food. However, the table we were seated at was a two-person table located at the boundary between rooms. It was cramped, and not a place to relax and enjoy lunch, which was a real shame. I think the food and the ambiance could make for a great lunch experience, so I'm giving it three stars. The food was truly amazing, so I'd like to try the full course next time I visit.

I impulsively went to Le Canard, the one in Ueno. It's a lunch spot, and while it's not cheap, it's significantly more affordable than the main branch. I've never been to the Ginza branch, though. In the end, I can only say it was incredibly delicious. It's essentially soup, meat, dessert, and coffee, but everything was exquisite. Maybe it's because I'm not used to this kind of cuisine, but I still found it truly delicious. The restaurant is located within the Ueno Station (outside the ticket gates) and is said to be a renovated section that was once used as a VIP room. The ceilings are high, and the interior hints at the grandeur of the railway's golden age. The staff provides excellent service. Lunch might seem a bit pricey, but considering the ambiance and the chance to experience a taste of Le Canard, it's a reasonable price.

A stylish restaurant located inside the Central Exit of the station. 🚉 It's a great place for travelers and regulars alike to enjoy a relaxing time. 🍷 The course meals feature seasonal ingredients and are delicious. 👩‍🍳

Directly connected to Ueno Station, its accessibility is excellent. The interior features large, marble-like table sofas, creating a spacious and relaxing atmosphere. Looking around, the restaurant was bustling with customers, almost entirely women, making it a gathering place for ladies. The comfortable ambiance and the reason for the time limit on dining became clear. Currently, there was a collaboration menu with the Chirico exhibition at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, so I chose that. The appetizer was a smoked duck and orange salad, which was simply delicious. Next came the clams and tomato acqua pazza, with a rich sauce that was quite flavorful. The main course is usually roast beef, but I was able to specially order the Brasserie Le Can Specialite, a braised Wagyu cheek in red wine. Up to this point, the dishes had been simply good, leaving me slightly disappointed. However, the accompanying vegetables were also very tasty, and this dish was exceptional. This red wine braised dish is a must-try. Considering the lack of high-quality restaurants in Ueno, Brasserie Le Can, with its refined atmosphere and exceptional red wine braised dish, is a valuable find. The innovative system of free wine corkage is also fantastic, making this a restaurant worth knowing about.

I had the opportunity to try the collaborative menu at the "De Chirico Exhibition" currently being held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum. The restaurant opens at 11:00 AM and stays open until 9:00 PM. I arrived around 10:30 AM, so I was able to enjoy lunch with very few other customers. Although I went alone, there were already a few women there. The "De Chirico Exhibition" collaboration is a course menu, and when the food is served, a female waiter explains the menu in relation to the exhibition. This time, I changed the main course to braised beef cheek in wine, which was absolutely delicious. The museum is easily accessible from Ueno Station, making it a great place to stop by after visiting the museum.
