A French restaurant with a traditional Japanese ambiance. The all-you-can-drink option is great value for money. The portions are huge, so I recommend going when you're really hungry. It's also conveniently located near the station. I saw a girl in a nice outfit throw up in the bathroom and then collapse outside, getting yelled at by the owner. You wouldn't think someone would drink that much with an all-you-can-drink option. The truffle risotto was absolutely delicious.
I recently visited "Hoshi no" in Kiyosumi Shirakawa, a restaurant I'd been wanting to try for a while. 🫶 I'm so grateful to my friend for making the reservation! 🫶 This place is known for its incredible French Kaiseki course at an unbeatable price. 🥂ˎˊ˗ It's definitely worth the effort to book a table. ✨ We ordered the all-you-can-drink course for ¥6,600 (tax included). Every dish was delicious, but the ikura (salmon roe) chawanmushi (savory egg custard) and the truffle risotto were standouts. 🩷 I was blown away by the value – all-you-can-drink bottled beer, sparkling wine, and red and white wine for just ¥6,600! 🥹🩷 This is a must-try for anyone looking for creative French and Japanese fusion cuisine. ✨ Thank you for the wonderful meal!
Reservations are hard to get, but it's the best value for your money. The portions are generous, and even though I eat a lot, I'm always incredibly satisfied. Every dish is delicious, and I want to go back again and again. I think it would be even more enjoyable if I could drink alcohol. I absolutely love their corn mousse.
This is my absolute favorite restaurant, hands down the best food I've ever had. It's incredibly popular, so reservations are hard to come by, but I've been going there regularly since 2018. Every time I go, the food is just phenomenal, it always blows me away. People often mention the great value, but I really want to highlight the incredible dishes created by the master chef. The menu changes with the seasons, which is always exciting. I especially love the chilled vegetable mousse, which varies depending on the time of year. It's a must-order for me every time! (The jelly on top is also amazing…) I could eat it for the rest of my life. Not only is the food delicious, but the plating is also incredibly beautiful. It's a feast for the eyes and the palate. The dishes are served on stunning plates, so definitely pay attention to those too. I've focused on the food, but they also have a wide selection of drinks. A true delight for any alcohol enthusiast. Especially great for sake and wine lovers. I fell in love with the modern Senkin sake here. The sparkling wine for a toast is also highly recommended. I've brought friends, family, and colleagues here, and everyone has always loved it. It's not a loud or boisterous place, but rather a quiet and refined atmosphere where you can enjoy quality time without feeling pretentious.
The seating area in the back of the counter is a tatami room. I worked hard to get a reservation the moment they opened up bookings! Before it became "Hoshino", it was a sushi restaurant, so they've cleverly utilized the existing interior to create a fusion of Japanese and French styles. They incorporate a lot of Japanese elements like Kyoto vegetables and ingredients into their French dishes, but the flavors are still distinctly French. The presentation is top-notch, and they don't skimp on quality. The stylish atmosphere and the quality of the food make this place a great value for the price. People often compare it to "Hoshino" in the east and "Todaka" in the west. It's true, I have a feeling that in a few years, it will be even harder to get a reservation and the prices will go up. They have a 90-minute all-you-can-drink option that includes bottled beer (Heartland), highballs, oolong highballs, shochu (both sweet potato and barley), sake, red and white wine, sparkling wine. They bring your drinks quickly after you order. 〇 Tobikko Potato Salad 〇 Homemade Rum Raisin Cheese 〇 Iberico Pork Ham and Salami It's a selection of different hams. It's not the highest quality, but the presentation is really good. 〇 Ikura Chawanmushi (Steamed Egg Custard with Salmon Roe) The presentation is amazing again! (laughs) The chawanmushi is topped with a generous amount of ikura. I think it's salmon roe? The custard is quite watery, I'm not sure if it's from the ikura dripping or a sauce, but the price of ikura is plummeting this season. Seafood companies with large ikura stockpiles are struggling... It's great to see them using so much ikura like this. 〇 Pineapple Fleur Tomato Mascarpone This is so Instagrammable! It's just a simple mix, but girls love this kind of stylish food, right? Of course, I do too! (laughs) Mascarpone and acidic fruits are a perfect match! Everyone starts ordering white wine at this point. 〇 Grilled Wanjyu Peppers with Plenty of Mimolette Cheese The Japanese element here is a stroke of genius! You can't stop eating them! ✨ 〇 Roasted Matsusaka Pork with Mashed Potatoes 〇 Truffle Risotto This is so good, it's like a whole other stomach!
