Hyperlocal Tokyo

Once again, the restaurant I was aiming for was closed. It was preparing to open. So, I ended up visiting this place. I ordered the bird skewers, which seemed to be a specialty. While waiting, I did some research and found out it's a local food in Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture. It was indeed tender and flavorful with a nice miso aroma. The vegetables underneath the skewers were also well-prepared. Rice and miso soup are available for an additional order. Overall, I think it's pretty good.

A place near Tokyo Station where you can enjoy the beers of Ise Kadoya Beer. All of their beers are delicious. They have a wide selection of food that pairs well with beer. They also offer alcoholic beverages other than craft beer. Prices are, in a good way and a bad way, Tokyo prices. If you eat and drink until you're full, it will cost around 9,000 yen per person.

The beer was absolutely delicious. However, the first order was wrong (although it was tasty, so no big deal), and when I asked for the correct one, they only brought one portion (my fault for not specifying the number clearly). The small dish I ordered with a coupon never arrived. Next time, I'll enjoy some canned beer at Seijo Ishii.

A specialty brewery shop (apparently not a directly managed store) that I personally am a fan of. The location is a bit off from Tokyo Station, in a somewhat out-of-the-way area of Yaesu, but perhaps because of that, the beer and food are relatively reasonably priced. The limited-edition beers, which are different from the standard selection, seem to have a fairly quick turnover, and it seems that they are completely replaced within two weeks. It's good that you can try new beers even if you go there frequently. I would personally be happy if they could include at least one type of smoked beer among the limited-edition beers.

While I understand that judging this place based solely on lunch might be unfair, I have to say that it was quite disappointing as it was far from my preferences. However, it might be a good option for those who want to carb-load.
