I had an avocado lunch to fuel up before a live performance! The restaurant was super pop, retro, and incredibly cute!! The staff was also adorable, matching the atmosphere of the place. It seemed like a one-person operation, so ordering, serving dishes, water, and the soup bar were all self-service, but everything was clearly written out, so it was easy to understand. I, an avocado lover, enjoyed the food! The tacos were recommended, but everything else looked delicious too. I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Harajuku! It was close to 3 pm on a weekday, so the restaurant was empty, which was nice because I could relax. Thanks for the meal!

A cozy avocado haven, "Avocado House"! They specialize in all things avocado, from avocado (fla) pechino to avocado bowls. While "specialty store" usually evokes a formal or edgy vibe, this place is incredibly welcoming and comfortable. The seat I chose had a retro gaming console, maybe a "Famicom"? (I'm not from that generation, so I'm not sure 😭). There are also large tables where you can kick back and relax with your shoes off! As a side note, the green curry I had (with half an avocado) was absolutely delicious. Those who are sensitive to spice should be cautious, though. Another reason to linger is their "Smash Combo" set menu, which adds 500 yen to your main dish and includes a buffet of treats. This includes the avocado pechino mentioned earlier, plus other soft drinks, soup, and popcorn. The main dishes might be a bit pricey, but with the combo, the cozy atmosphere and the ability to munch on snacks while you relax... you might find yourself staying longer than expected. In that case, consider it an investment in your time, a win-win situation!

While searching for a restaurant in Harajuku, I was drawn to the name 'Avocadoya' and decided to give it a try. I visited on a Wednesday evening around 5:30 PM and found only one other group in the restaurant, so I was able to be seated immediately. The menu was accessed via QR code on my phone, and orders were placed directly with the staff. I ordered the 'Upper Negi-Toro Avocado Don' with the 'Madosh Combo' on this particular day. The Madosh Combo includes one Avocado Pechino, unlimited snacks, and unlimited drinks. (Incidentally, the Avocado Don came with a soup that could be refilled freely.) Before the main dish arrived, I enjoyed the Avocado Pechino and soup. The Avocado Pechino had a sweet and sour flavor reminiscent of fruit juice, with a creamy avocado taste that made it incredibly delicious. The soup was a miso soy milk soup, but it had a strong and complex flavor with a rich mushroom taste that was also very enjoyable. The main Avocado Don was, of course, a delicious combination of ingredients. The portion size was just right, especially considering the Avocado Pechino, soup, and other items. Overall, I was very satisfied with the food. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will definitely visit again when I come to Harajuku. Incidentally, the unlimited drink options included iced coffee, iced tea, green tea, and I believe some fruit juices. The unlimited snacks included Young Donuts, cookies, mini chocolate choux, and about six other sweet treats.

I love avocado smoothies and came back after about 5 years. While I was disappointed that the avocado flavor was less pronounced than before, I think it's become a more universally appealing smoothie. You can order more avocado, but I was too full to do so (laughs). I had the tacos, which were delicious with plenty of avocado. The spiciness was mild. It's interesting that you can take and eat snacks (mini donuts, cookies, etc.) and juice freely, which I thought would be great for a chatty lunch, but because of COVID-19 precautions, the door was wide open, making it very cold and difficult to stay for long. (It's unavoidable this time of year.) The menu is only combo meals for weekend lunch, so be aware. Personally, I think several of the main menu items that you can choose from would go well with avocado and are delicious, so I'd like to come back again for those. I'll come back again when the cold weather passes (laughs).
