When you hear 'omakase sushi' in Roppongi, you might imagine it costing tens of thousands of yen, but this place is different. It's a second brand of the Ginza main store, aimed at younger people, with young chefs working hard. The sushi ingredients are more casual than high-end, but for this price, it's definitely understandable. You can also tell that they've prepared everything carefully, and the fact that alcohol is all-you-can-drink is an incredible price. The performance is also modern, very lively and fun! It's a fun and good place. If you want to eat good sushi casually but properly, I can confidently recommend this place to my friends.
A new sushi restaurant, "Sushi Yuu", opened in December 2023, taking over the former location of a popular sushi restaurant in Ginza. Located just a 3-4 minute walk from Roppongi Station, it's situated in a quiet area. The restaurant is run by a next-generation sushi chef who honed his skills under the guidance of the head chef of "Sushi Yuu", a restaurant that has earned Michelin stars for four consecutive years since its opening. The menu primarily consists of omakase (chef's choice). For a remarkable price of 16,500 yen, you can enjoy a high-quality course with an all-you-can-drink option. While there are many "Instagrammable" dishes, such as the famous "Purin Maki" (custard roll) and "Minato-ku Maki" (Minato Ward roll), the undeniable quality of the ingredients and the chef's skill are the true highlights. The portions are quite generous, and the all-you-can-drink selection features a wide variety of sake, making it a truly satisfying experience. The staff, led by the young head chef, provides excellent service. Similar to its sister restaurant in Ebisu, "Sushi Yuu Tsubasa", which is notoriously difficult to get a reservation at, this restaurant is sure to become increasingly popular and hard to book. It's definitely a must-visit spot.
Sushi Yuu, a renowned sushi restaurant group, has launched an all-inclusive establishment. While all-inclusive restaurants are becoming increasingly common, many lack the consistent quality due to hiring chefs who aren't trained in sushi. However, Sushi Yuu Tsumugi, with its roots in the original Sushi Yuu, boasts Michelin-star quality and hospitality, ensuring a high standard. The sushi itself is excellent, and the addition of unlimited drinks makes it a truly exceptional experience. I recently dined there with a group of six first-timers, and everyone was thrilled, raving about the 120% satisfaction and vowing to return. The era of simply offering unlimited drinks is over, and we're entering a new age of high-end sushi restaurants with second-tier options. Sushi Yuu Tsumugi is a promising establishment that I'm excited to revisit. Menu: All-inclusive Omakase Course (Counter) ¥16,500 1. Mineoka Tofu 2. Young Corn and Asparagus Jelly 3. A new location of "Sushi Yuu," a BRONZE AWARD-winning sushi restaurant where you can enjoy delicious sushi made by a handsome chef at a reasonable price! Located a 4-minute walk from Roppongi Station, I visited "Sushi Yuu Tsumugi." This restaurant opened in December last year, using the former location of "Sushi Yuu" which has since moved to Ginza. The head chef is Kazuki Tahara, who previously worked at "Sushi Yuu Tsubasa." I visited with friends for an off-meeting on a Saturday at 5:30 PM. We ordered the "Omakase Dinner" (with drinks) course for 16,500 yen and added some appetizers (6,300 yen). The sushi made by the handsome chef was all of high quality, with delicious and entertaining performances like "Oi C" and "Zukyun." The sushi was particularly delicious, including the classic "Purin Maki," "Minato-ku Maki," "Abalone and Liver Donburi," "Chutoro," "Marinated Tuna," and "Pufferfish Shirako Donburi." We enjoyed the meal until the very end. This time, we added appetizers, bringing the total to over 20,000 yen. However, like its sister restaurant "Sushi Yuu Tsubasa," it's rare to find a place where you can enjoy sushi of this level with all-you-can-drink sake for around 15,000 yen! This is a highly recommended sushi restaurant! 【Today's Menu】 ① Mineoka Tofu, Corn, Soy Milk, and Yoshino Kuzukiri ② Pan-fried Spinach and Maitake Mushroom with Dashi ③ Wakame with Ponzu Sauce ④ Abalone (Hokkaido) and Liver Donburi ⑤ Steamed Eel Tempura • Soft and Fluffy ⑥ Spring Snapper (Lightly Marinated in Kombu) ⑦ Tamago (Egg with Seaweed, Cooked with Sesame Oil) ⑧ Kohada (Gizzard Shad) ⑨ Akagai (Ark Shell) ⑪ Purin Maki • Anki (Monkfish Liver) and Cucumber "To-fuu Maki" with Nara-zuke (Pickled Cucumber) ⑫ Karasumi Mochi (Dried Mullet Roe Rice Cake) ⑬ Negi Maguro Donburi (Scallion Tuna Donburi) ⑭ Minato-ku Maki (Snow Crab, Sea Urchin, Caviar) ⑮ Kansai-style Eel with Thinly Sliced Egg Donburi ⑯ Sakura-zuke Umeboshi (Plum Pickled in Cherry Blossoms) Chawanmushi (Savory Egg Custard) ⑰ Akagai Himo (Ark Shell Tendon), Kyuri Himo-kiyu Maki (Cucumber Ribbon Roll) ⑱ Marinated Tuna (Katsuura) ⑲ Chutoro (Katsuura) ⑳ Torafugu Shirako (Pufferfish Shirako) Donburi ㉑ Steamed Scallops ㉒ Taimaki (Thick Roll) • Filled with Tuna Middle Flakes ㉓ Miso Soup
Indulge in Delicious Sushi and Sake at "Sushi Yui Tsumugi" in Roppongi! Today, I invited a drinking buddy to "Sushi Yui Tsumugi" in Roppongi. This restaurant offers a sushi course with all-you-can-drink sake for a reasonable 16,500 yen. We started with a celebratory toast using the restaurant's signature lemon sour. The first dish was a delightful combination of Mineoka tofu and Sanriku wakame seaweed. For our next drink, we transitioned to sake, starting with Mimuro Sugi. The sushi course included: * Ezo Abalone with Liver Sauce * Firefly Squid Spring Rolls * Kasugo Dai (Sea Bream) * Green Seaweed Egg Roll * Kohada (Gizzard Shad) * Marinated Shima Aji (Horse Mackerel) Then, the restaurant's famous "プリン巻き" (pudding roll) made its grand entrance! We couldn't resist striking a pose for the occasion. The course continued with: * Fresh Bonito Tekone Sushi Style * Minato-ku Maki (Local Roll) * White Shrimp and Purple Sea Urchin (Additional Order) * Mikawa Isshiki Nagi (Sea Bass) * Whitebait Chawanmushi (Savory Egg Custard) * Akami Zuke (Marinated Lean Tuna) * Chutoro (Medium Fatty Tuna) * Steamed Scallops By this point, we were completely satisfied. The delicious sushi paired perfectly with the sake, and we enjoyed a variety of brands: * Mimuro Sugi * Sawaya Matsumoto * Yamorii * Morishima * Kuro Ryu * Kuro Ryu * Gakki Masamune * Orokuro * Tengumai * Isojiman We ended up trying a total of 10 different sakes!
