This Sadaharu Aoki store is located in Hikarie, which is directly connected to Shibuya Station. It's very accessible, so I frequent this Aoki location quite often. While I love their cakes, I only bought pastries this time. I decided to try their financier, which I hadn't had before, and a chestnut pound cake. The pound cake is called "Tranche Cake aux Chataignes." I think it might have chocolate in it? The total cost for both was around 1,000 yen. Thinking about it now, they have a really wide selection of pastries. I remember their fondant au chocolat being delicious. The financier comes individually wrapped, but it still manages to maintain its crispy exterior. The inside is incredibly buttery, with a rich, juicy texture and a strong buttery aroma. One financier is enough to satisfy you. The chestnut cake is incredibly moist, almost to the point of being a terrine. It has a strong chestnut flavor and is delicious. I haven't bought their cakes in a while, so I'll have to get some again soon.

The rum-infused marron glacé ice cream is gone... It was over in a flash. See you next year! I love ice cream, and I always order it whenever I go to Sadaharu Aoki! It's so delicious and affordable. This time I tried the pistachio, which was okay. Caramel and marron are my top two. The peach gelato was also delicious. As of July 2023, there has been no price increase for the gelato. Thank goodness.

I bought macarons, canelé, and a cookie tin. They were all delicious, especially the canelé. The chewy texture and rich flavor were amazing. However, the cookies and macarons weren't quite my taste.

This time, I purchased a 24-piece macaron box for a valued customer. It reminded me of Aoki-san, whom I had the pleasure of meeting once in a regional setting. Their personality was truly remarkable.
