I was curious about the owner after reading the reviews, but when I was in front of the shop, they greeted me with a cheerful "Hello!" and were incredibly kind. When I bought a cake, they even gave me a complimentary madeleine. I purchased a 4-cheese assortment for ¥2,300, which included a cheese soufflé, matcha cheese soufflé, baked cheesecake, and Basque-style cheesecake. All of them were absolutely delicious. Next time, I'll try their fruit tarts. Currently, they're offering a 10% discount when you pay with PayPay, making it even more worthwhile.
You can buy cakes at a discounted price at this factory outlet. I tried the "Gateau Chocolat & Mont Blanc Tart (¥2,250)" half-and-half set. Personally, I found the Mont Blanc Tart quite sweet, and the Gateau Chocolat could have been a bit more moist. It reminded me of simple, nostalgic cakes from the past. It seems like the half-and-half sets are only available in the combinations listed on the sign outside. If you try to create your own combination, be warned that the cashier might get upset.
Based on the reviews, I was wondering if they offered samples, but when I stopped by before buying anything, they offered me a small cheesecake and a tea chiffon cake sample. While it wasn't on the menu board, their ¥100 financier seemed to be very popular with locals, as two customers bought a whole financier and a whole cheesecake. When I told the owner I was going to explore the area and would come back later to buy some pastries, they said they could hold them for me. Apparently, because it's a production facility, they sell everything at about 40% off the regular price. There were so many delicious options, I couldn't choose just one, so I put a seasonal tart made with Kiyomi oranges from a contracted farm in Ehime, a Uji matcha cheesecake, and an Alphonso mango biscuit cake on hold. I gave them my name and they said I could pay when I came back. The owner was very friendly and energetic. I went on a weekday, Monday morning, so there weren't many customers, but they said they get about 100 people on weekends, so I recommend going on a weekday. They use high-quality, expensive Uji matcha. They gave me a financier as a treat. They use expensive, sweet American strawberries. When I mentioned I was going home by train in the light rain, they carefully wrapped each pastry in plastic wrap and put a lot of ice packs on top. They even gave me a plastic bag to protect it from the rain. They also gave me a paper bag for sharing with friends. The owner was a very kind and helpful gentleman.
The cakes sold are whole cakes. I purchased a Mont Blanc tart and a financier. □ Mont Blanc Tart 5-inch (¥2,200 including tax) The custard cream, fresh cream, and chestnut cream are very dense. It's a little sweet and satisfying. □ Financier (¥120 including tax) I bought it because a local customer who buys them in bulk recommended it. The butter was so delicious! ♡ I also received a complimentary one at checkout. There was no cake tasting, but I was warmed by the ice cream and financier service. I didn't buy it, but there was a fruit roll cake sample. It was very delicious, so I will definitely buy it next time.
This unassuming factory in a down-to-earth neighborhood is a powerhouse, supplying hotels and other businesses. It's a local favorite known for its affordable and delicious treats. I visited on a weekend around 11:30 am and there were three other groups of customers. People kept coming in, but since it's only takeout, I didn't have to wait long to buy my treats. **What I bought:** * Pumpkin pudding - ¥350 * Sweet potato - ¥300 I bought two of each, and because the prices were so reasonable, the total cost was very affordable. But they also gave me two free financiers! Since I was with a friend, we got two each. They handed them to us with a smile, saying, "Thank you for coming in on such a hot day." It seems like they always offer this kind of service, but I was surprised they gave us two even though we only bought a few things. I wonder if they'll be okay financially (laughs). It's a bit nosy of me, but I'm worried about them! They're not very business-minded... (in a good way) The sweet potato was a very dark purple, almost navy blue. It looked a little grotesque (sorry!), but it tasted delicious. It had a natural sweetness. All the whole cakes looked simple and delicious. They also offer personalized plates, so they'd be perfect for large parties. I'll definitely be back! Thank you for the delicious food! (*´ω`*)
