I went for a quick soba dinner. They have great value set menus available all day and night, which is nice. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite my taste... The craft beer selection is amazing, I think this might be the only place in Ueno with so many taps! The happy hour set from 5pm to 7pm looks really good (see picture). They also had Niigata's Shinsei sake, and the sake list looks promising! This place seems perfect for a night out with drinks.
I visited this place for a solo pre-party before a banquet nearby. From 11:30 AM to 7 PM, they have a happy hour where craft beers are discounted by 60 to 200 yen, making it more worthwhile to drink early. The interior has counter and table seating. There were families, older gentlemen, and a couple of a handsome man and a beautiful woman already there. Since I had a large banquet afterwards, I skipped the food, but the soba looked delicious. They also had some udon and snacks. The drinks included sake, shochu, and a good selection of interesting craft beers. I tried the Totepia Brewery/Opal Phobia (Opalophobia) for 700 yen. I got the S size during happy hour, so it was 60 yen off. It had a strong sour taste and was delicious. The staff was friendly, and it's close to the station, so I'll definitely come back again.
I went for lunch this time. The Tochi set includes a cold soba noodle dish and a small tempura bowl. The small tempura bowl has sweet potato, eggplant, and shrimp tempura. They have a wide selection of craft beers and sake. This time, I had Asahi's Maruf beer.
I just visited this place a little while ago! It's right there as soon as you exit the Ueno Station's Inari-guchi ticket gate. It was lunchtime, so there was a lot of customer traffic, but the staff seemed very efficient. The tempura donburi set was delicious. It was a huge portion, and I was completely full. I also ended up having a craft beer during happy hour. I was happy to be able to try the Beer Brain! I hope I can go back again.
Being a craft beer enthusiast, I found this place through a search and decided to visit. The beer selection was excellent, ranging from strong brews that I enjoy to easy-drinking options perfect for those new to craft beer. This was very helpful. I was seated at a table on the second floor, almost like a mezzanine level, which was a bit secluded from the main hall. However, just as my beer was running low, I caught the eye of a staff member who quickly came up to me. This efficient service made for a pleasant experience, and I was able to leave feeling satisfied and catch my train home. The soba noodles were also delicious.
