First-time visit. Seiryu-en, the yakiniku restaurant said to be the hardest to get a reservation at in Japan. I called every day on the 15th of each month, and finally managed to get a reservation!!! First, the exterior didn't look like a restaurant at all. A yakiniku restaurant known only to those in the know. I ordered five portions of salt-grilled tongue, two portions of harami (skirt steak), three portions of salt-grilled mino (beef tripe), three portions of mixed three kinds, yukke (raw beef), kimchi, and a mixed platter. At this restaurant, you can only order premium meat once at the beginning. I enjoyed some kimchi and the mixed platter with a draft beer, then had a second beer with the yukke, and then the salt-grilled tongue, harami, and mino arrived. The meat looked absolutely delicious. Of course, I started with the salt-grilled tongue 😋 I enjoyed it medium-rare, medium, and well-done! It was delicious no matter how it was cooked 😋 Next came my favorite harami. This harami was mind-blowing! I'd never tasted harami like this before! Is this really harami? It was so delicious。゚(゚´ω`゚)゚。 The beautiful color of the salt-grilled mino. It looked like scallops. Next came the mixed three kinds platter. White rice goes well with the marinated meats 🍚 I enjoyed the Matsuzaka beef sirloin with a raw egg, had some white rice with the zabuton (shoulder cut), and let the Chateaubriand melt in my mouth 😋 Finally, I finished with egg soup! I don't think I'll ever have better yakiniku than this… Thank you for the delicious meal 😋

A highly sought-after restaurant known for its signature salt-grilled tongue and skirt steak! Located a 3-minute walk from Kiyosumi-shirakawa Station, "Yakiniqu Seiryuen" is a renowned yakiniku restaurant that has been awarded the BRONZE AWARD for four consecutive years in the "Yakiniku Hyaku-meiten" (100 Best Yakiniku Restaurants) guide. I was finally able to visit this hard-to-reserve restaurant thanks to a friend's invitation. We arrived at 5:30 PM on a weekday. Reservations for the following month open on the 15th of each month at 10:00 AM. However, I tried to make a reservation in November and December of last year, but I called over 500 times and couldn't get through. The signature salt-grilled tongue and skirt steak were undoubtedly delicious! The texture and flavor were exceptional. The yukke (raw beef) also had a very rich meaty flavor, and the fat was sweet and delicious, making it perfect for eating with rice. The off-menu roast beef was tender and moist, with no dryness whatsoever. This was also incredibly delicious. All the other meats were also undeniably delicious, and I was able to finish the manga-sized portion of rice. Everything was delicious until the very end. [What we ordered] Kimchi assortment Yukke Roast beef (off-menu) Salt-grilled tongue Skirt steak Basil mino (off-menu) Kobo-kuro (beef tripe) Heart Liver Kalbi (short ribs) Pudding Rice (manga-sized portion) Egg soup

I was invited by a colleague I've been getting along well with at work, and I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant, known for its difficult reservations, for the second time! We arrived at around 6:30 PM with a group of four. Parking was available in a nearby lot. There is a time-limited coin parking lot in front of the restaurant, but it has a limited number of spaces, so I wouldn't recommend it. We were greeted by a staff member around 6:40 PM and were seated. We ordered: * Salt-grilled beef tongue (two different cuts) * Salt-grilled skirt steak * Salt-grilled tripe * Salt-grilled liver * Sweetbreads * Yukke (raw beef) * Premium sirloin * Pig's feet * Kimchi assortment * Grilled squid * Grilled vegetable assortment * Special pudding We ordered two different cuts of salt-grilled beef tongue. We enjoyed comparing the leaner cut with the fattier cut. Despite being thinly sliced, the beef tongue was substantial and flavorful, truly deserving of its reputation as the best in Tokyo. It was amazing! This restaurant recommends ordering everything with salt, and the skirt steak comes with a separate plate of wasabi. The tripe, sweetbreads, and liver were all completely free of any off-putting smells. Squeezing lemon on the salt or adding a touch of sauce allows you to savor the pure, natural flavor of the meat! While it's hard to get a reservation, this is a place I want to visit regularly. ☆…☆…☆…☆…☆…☆…☆…☆…☆…☆…☆…☆…☆…☆…☆…☆…☆ Thank you for the delicious meal! I'll be back again soon!

I tried to call several times last autumn but couldn't get through. Finally, my wish came true and I got to try the best tan-salt in Japan. The meat was as good as the rumors said, and it was delicious. This was my first time visiting, and the staff were very kind. I was even given a complimentary dish, which was very appreciated, especially as a first-timer. I definitely want to visit again. For reference, we ordered the following for two people: * Tan-salt x2 * Chū-tan-salt x2 * Salt Mino * Salt Harami * Upper Loin * Half Yukke x2 * Senmai Sashimi * Kimchi * Large Rice

A must-visit for yakiniku lovers! I was taken to "Seiryuen," a fully booked yakiniku restaurant located just a short walk from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station. Their tongue is known for its deliciousness and rarity. Reservations are only accepted by phone, starting at 10:00 AM on the 15th of every month, and they fill up quickly due to their popularity. "Seiryuen" was founded in 1974 and has been a beloved establishment in the downtown area of Tokyo, Morishita, for over 30 years. However, due to the aging of the building, it temporarily closed in 2019. It then relocated to its current location in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa and began a new chapter. The charm of this restaurant is undoubtedly its meat quality. The tongue salt (¥3,300) in particular is a masterpiece, described as "a whole different level." Other dishes, such as theミノ salt (¥1,700),ハラミ salt (market price), yukke, sirloin, and kalbi, are all of exquisite quality, and the side menu is also extensive, including bibimbap and kimchi. Among them, theセンマイ刺し (cow's third stomach) is a unique dish that offers a surprisingly light flavor and a distinctive texture, unlike what you might imagine from its appearance. "Seiryuen" has received the "The Tabelog Award 2022 Bronze" for its taste and high level of service, and has been highly praised by visitors. It has also received a high rating of 4.5 on Tabelog, with particular recommendations for the yukke, tongue, sirloin, and kalbi. Reservations are extremely difficult to secure, but it's definitely worth the effort. Why not experience the ultimate yakiniku experience at "Seiryuen" in Kiyosumi-Shirakawa? Once you visit, you'll be hooked on its deliciousness.
