A real hit after a long time! The menu is small, but every item is a joy to choose from. The parfait, which I tried for the first time, was not overly sweet, but refreshing and delicious. And then, various ingredients kept coming out. This time I only had the parfait, but I'm really looking forward to trying the other dishes. The complimentary tea was actually free Gyokuro (a high-grade green tea). It was served cold initially, and then you could add hot water from a pot to enjoy it warm. Incidentally, when I went there 10 minutes after opening on a Saturday, there were about 7 groups already inside. The restaurant has a lot of seating, so it's reassuring, but it's best to come early.
We arrived around noon on a weekday during Obon. My daughter wanted to try some matcha sweets, so we met up there. She hadn't arrived yet, and there was one other group waiting. My daughter said she had reached the station, so I joined the queue. There were chairs, so waiting was comfortable. By then, another group had arrived, and the people in front of us were being called. We were called next and seated. We didn't wait more than 10 minutes in total, but my daughter still hadn't arrived. They served us cold green tea that day, but the pot only had hot water in it. My daughter was still missing, but I looked at the menu and ordered on my own. I ordered two shaved ice dishes and two warabi mochi dishes, all different. I asked them to bring the warabi mochi dishes after the shaved ice, but for some reason, they brought them one at a time. They said to let them know when we finished each dish so they could bring the next one. I was confused, but I let my daughter, who had arrived in the heat, have the shaved ice first, while I had the matcha warabi mochi. It was delicious, but maybe because I was in the mood for shaved ice, it didn't quite hit the spot. I thought they might have gotten the order wrong, so when they brought the next dish, I found that it was shaved ice. The warabi mochi dishes also felt like they were mainly matcha ice cream, which was a bit different from the picture. I thought about mentioning it when we paid, but the receipt correctly said 'after,' so I realized that the people making and serving the food weren't thinking at all. It's a shame that a place in GINZA SIX has such a low level of service. This kind of thing really happens.
It was incredibly crowded during the weekday afternoon, with a long line. They provide some folding chairs, so you can sit and wait once you reach that point. The turnover is good. The welcome drink was a cold tea served in a teapot, and you could refill it with hot water from a pot provided to enjoy it as warm tea. It was a nice touch that the pot also had the store's name on it. I ordered the Chagoromo, a menu item with mochi and matcha on top of sweet bean paste. The sweetness comes only from the bean paste, so it has a sophisticated taste without any sweetness in the parts without the bean paste. The tea jelly I bought as a souvenir was also delicious. I think it's a good place to go if you're willing to wait. Thank you for the meal.
After lunch, it was still a bit early to go to the Kabuki-za Theatre. So, I headed to GINZA SIX (it has a calming atmosphere, you know). As expected, there was a line at "Nakamura Tokichi." Normally, I wouldn't stand in line, but today I had some time to spare... so I joined the queue. I ordered the "Namacha Jelly [Shin Sui]." The vibrant green color was eye-catching. The taste was... well, pretty average. It might be a good place to take a break for a cheap price.
I ordered the Maruto Parfait [Matcha]. While waiting for the parfait to arrive, I enjoyed the day's welcome tea (new tea). The wait was enjoyable because the interior was so lovely. I really love the Maruto Parfait ♡ It's beautiful to look at and delicious to eat. It's not heavy and I can easily polish it off. The welcome tea came in a pot, so I was able to savor the second infusion. This is one of my favorite places. Thank you for the meal.
