My friend and I stopped by after work. The food was surprisingly delicious. We planned to have a quick drink but ended up staying for almost two hours. My friend ordered a Suntory The Premium Malt's (pint) and a ginger highball, while I had a glass of white wine. Unexpectedly, the wine was so good that I remember ordering two more glasses. Since it was just a quick drink to pass the time at the station, I wasn't expecting much (sorry ^^;), but the staff's service was incredibly attentive. They were very good at gauging when we needed something and would approach us at the right time, making us feel very comfortable. As I mentioned earlier, the reason we missed several trains was because of the excellent service and atmosphere of the restaurant. It was a quiet place to enjoy a drink, and it's right next to the train platform. My friend and I agreed that we had found a great place and will definitely be back.

I stumbled upon a truly amazing place! This bar understands exactly what kind of snacks you want with your highball. The potato salad was especially delicious. The prices were also reasonable, and I can see myself becoming a regular whenever I visit Ueno. White Horse: ¥1300, Ballantine's: ¥600, Oolong Tea: ¥380 Cream Cheese in Soy Sauce: ¥430, Potato Salad: ¥430, Chikuwa and Mentaiko Ahijo: ¥580 Total: ¥3720 The space and seating were clean and incredibly comfortable. The staff were easy to approach, making ordering a breeze and stress-free. Highly recommended!

HIGHBALL'S, located inside Ueno Station, caught my eye with its black curry sign. I decided to try the black curry and ordered the beef short rib black curry. It came out quickly after I ordered. It was delicious on its own, but the staff recommended adding their special spice, which I did. It added a bit of spice, but also a depth of flavor, making it even more delicious. I ate it before getting on the Shinkansen back to Gunma, so I didn't have any alcohol, but since the place is called HIGHBALL'S, I'd like to try their highball next time.

I'm not a fan of highballs, so I enjoyed a few beers and glasses of wine by myself. The staff was wonderful, with friendly smiles and a great attitude, making me feel very comfortable. 😊 It was great that my first time visiting this place was a solo experience. 😊 I apologize for staying so long. I visited around 10:30 on Sunday. I wonder if they don't serve morning meals on weekends? I ordered a regular highball for ¥600 and potato salad for ¥430. There were no other customers, so I could relax and enjoy myself. The female staff member was kind and provided attentive service, making it a comfortable experience.
