I often go to Kinshicho, but this was a new discovery for me. I was surprised to find a cafe right next to the station! It's just a 10-second walk from the south exit, literally. The entrance had a classic vibe, so I thought the interior might be a bit old-fashioned, but I was surprised to find a trendy, Instagram-worthy space. I went there around 3:00 PM, and they were still serving lunch, so I ordered the bacon and asparagus Japanese-style pasta with a drink set and iced coffee. The cafe was fairly quiet, so my food came out quickly. The taste was definitely good! Actually, pasta and iced coffee for 900 yen is a steal! This place is a definite repeat for me.
A cafe right in front of the station where you can relax and take your time. I ordered the lemon Mont Blanc cake set. The sauce comes in three different flavors, making it visually appealing, and the cake itself is quite delicious.
A coffee shop located in front of Kinshicho Station. It used to have a smoky atmosphere, but now it's properly smoke-free, so even non-smokers can enjoy it without worry. The shop is clean and has a nice atmosphere. It's a bit of a hidden gem because it's in the basement, so it was pretty empty. They have a wide variety of drinks.
This is a privately owned shop located in the basement, just to the right after exiting the south exit of Kinshicho Station. It's conveniently located near the station, has a spacious and clean interior, and offers a relaxing atmosphere. The menu is not only rich in drinks but also features a wide selection of food and desserts. For smokers, there are separate areas for regular cigarettes and electronic cigarettes. There's even a space that could potentially be used as a private room, catering to a variety of needs.
A relaxed and sophisticated coffee shop for adults. It's located almost directly connected to JR Kinshicho Station, making it a good place to take shelter from the rain. Even on weekends when the cafes and bakeries on the first floor of the station building and near the station are all packed, this place is a hidden gem that often has seats available. The Hoshi no Coffee shop a little further down from the station is usually crowded with young people and has lines, but this place right before the station often has no wait. It's very convenient. Drinks start at around ¥500, and a cake set with coffee or tea is around ¥800, which is a good deal. The food menu includes a recommended pizza toast for ¥850, and sandwiches are around the same price. You can get a drink set with coffee or tea for an additional ¥200. Besides pizza toast, there are also mixed sandwiches, pilaf, pasta, and gratin (doria?). All of them are ¥800 or more. However, the food comes with a salad and soup. Everything has a classic, old-fashioned coffee shop vibe. If you're expecting an Instagram-worthy, trendy parfait, you might be disappointed. It's more like a classic coffee shop parfait. The cake set is probably a safer bet. The cream soda, which is popular these days, comes in a tall glass, which is always a nice touch. It seems to have been featured in the 'Sanpo no Tatsujin' (Walking Expert) magazine. It's nice that the restrooms are separated for men and women. The smoking section is the main area, and the non-smoking section is a glass-enclosed room on the left side of the entrance. However, the door is often open, so sensitive people might want to avoid it. Regarding the staff's service, since it wasn't very crowded, they refilled our water several times. They were a bit on the indifferent side, but they wiped down the tables properly, so I thought it was fine. If you're expecting the kind of hospitality you'd find at a chain like Renoir, you're better off going to a chain. This place is recommended for those who want to relax, use it for business meetings, or play Pokemon GO. By the way, there are three Pokestops and a gym nearby.
