The food was prepared with great care and everything was delicious. They even had rare sake from the 'Shinsei' brewery, which made me very happy. I'm sorry for being noisy. Thank you for saying it was fun. Next time, I'll eat a smaller portion so I don't bother other customers.
First visit after making a reservation. It's a small shop with about 8 seats, but it has a really nice atmosphere and the Showa-era pop music is so soothing. The proprietress runs the whole place by herself, which is amazing! The menu is full of dishes I've never seen before, which makes it fun. And everything I tried was unbelievably delicious! It must be so hard for her to do everything from preparing the food to cleaning up by herself. I was so full after drinking so much sake and eating so much food, and for this price, I was completely satisfied! I was so impressed. It's the kind of place I want to keep going back to, but I don't want to tell anyone about it. Gourmet drinkers will definitely love this place. I'll definitely go back again. Thank you for the delicious meal.
I had been wanting to try this place for a while. I managed to snag a reservation for the second seating on Saturday, with only one seat left. I arrived two minutes before my 7:15 PM reservation, but was told to wait outside until they were ready, with a rather cold response. Other customers with reservations for the second seating were also made to wait outside. Wouldn't it be better to put up a sign that says "Please wait outside before your reservation time"? The owner, a woman, was running the place by herself, serving about eight customers. I understand that she might be at her limit, but her demeanor was generally brusque. Couldn't she have said things a little more kindly? The food and drinks were delicious, but the service really brought the experience down. I guess it's up to the owner to decide how they want to run things, and it's not my place to criticize, but if the food was bad, this place would have gone under a long time ago. Don't expect good service. Personally, I'd rather have a friendly server, even if the food takes a little longer. With all due respect, I recommend hiring some help. Again, the food is delicious, so this rating is a bit of a mixed bag.
The food is absolutely delicious, and the selection of sake is impeccable. However, I always find myself watching the owner's face, and the atmosphere makes it difficult to engage in casual conversation. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a meal in quiet solitude, I highly recommend it.
