◎First Visit: September 2024 I visited around 12:30 PM on a weekday and there was no wait. I sat at a table for four in the back of the shop. The interior is a traditional Japanese space, fitting well with the atmosphere of the Ningyocho area. It naturally feels calming. The shop only has tables, and I'm sure it's easy to use for both solo diners and groups. I ordered the "Shiratama Matcha Cream Anmitsu." The "mitsu" (syrup) that you pour over the anmitsu can be chosen as "kuro-mitsu" (black syrup) or "shiro-mitsu" (white syrup) when you order. I chose the black syrup! The shiratama (mochi balls), which I was curious about, were a good performance. They had a nice texture, being plump and chewy. (They weren't sticky in a way that would cling to your teeth.) When you bite into them, the springy texture is truly pleasant. The combination with the koshian (sweet bean paste), kanten (agar-agar jelly), and gyu-hi (cowhide jelly) was also good. The red azuki beans were a smash hit. The saltiness of the beans was good... the texture and this accent felt essential. Honestly, the price is a bit high, but it's a valuable sweet shop where you can experience the flavors of a long-established shop with over 180 years of history. a) Situation: - Visited around 12:27 PM on a weekday - No wait, seated at a table for four b) Service: - Professional c) Order: - Shiratama Matcha Cream Anmitsu @ ¥1,250 (tax included)

I went on a summer trip and did an anmitsu tour. I visited around 3 pm and there were about 5 groups waiting in line, but I was able to enter after about 20 minutes. The atmosphere was a bit tense... I understood why a few minutes later. When the line cleared and a customer tried to enter, a female staff member with glasses told them to "wait outside because we're full!" in an irritated tone... I came here to enjoy something sweet and delicious, but I felt like I had to eat quickly and leave. I was a bit nervous when I ordered, but the other staff member wasn't like that, so I was relieved. The food was delicious, but the atmosphere brought my mood down, so I don't think I'll go back on purpose. The tea was brewed with water boiled in an iron kettle and was soft and delicious. It's a shame because it's a lovely place.

I went there after seeing it on SNS! It's right there if you walk straight from Exit 8 of Suitengu-mae Station. I arrived 10 minutes before opening, but there were already two groups waiting. The place was full as soon as it opened with people who came in at the same time. I wanted to order quickly, but the staff came around to each table with tea and took orders in the order we entered. The azuki beans were delicious, but the mochi balls were the best! They were so chewy. Many people ordered anmitsu and some came for takeout, so I want to try other menu items next time.

During summer break, the heat made me crave shaved ice 🍧, so I went to Hatsune. I chose the milk strawberry and black sesame kinako. Both were delicious! Especially the black sesame kinako, it was even better than it looked. The staff were all older, the atmosphere of the shop was good, it truly had the feel of a traditional Japanese sweets shop, it was very calming. I stopped by around noon and waited in line for about 20 minutes. There were always about 5 groups waiting, but I think the turnover was fast. The reason for this is that the shaved ice 🍧 was served quickly. I will definitely go back when I want shaved ice again ✨.

I visited as soon as the shop opened on a weekday. I was the first customer, of course! I've been wanting to try this place for about two years, so it was a dream come true! ◆ Ice Azuki with White Dumplings ¥1200 ◆ Extra 5 White Dumplings ¥250 ※ Cash only The shop has a nostalgic atmosphere. My order was served quickly. The generous portion of azuki beans was topped with smooth white dumplings! I love white dumplings, so I'm glad I added the extra topping. The azuki bean paste was quite sweet, and it went perfectly with the white dumplings. The dumplings were chewy and incredibly delicious. The ice was the old-fashioned kind that gives you brain freeze. If it had been fluffy, I would definitely come back for more! They also have a wide variety of sweet treats like red bean soup, anmitsu, and parfaits. I'd love to try their red bean soup next time I visit in the winter.
