Shibuya Scramble Square Exclusive Tropézienne Échiré! Located just a minute's walk from Shibuya Station, I visited "Échiré Patisserie au Beurre Tokyu Food Show Edge Store," a shop that seems destined to become a top-rated sweets destination. It's on the 1st floor of Scramble Square. I arrived a little after 12 pm on a weekday, and there were a few people in front of the store. I was able to check out quickly. I purchased the Shibuya store-exclusive Tropézienne Échiré for ¥691, which always sells out by evening. The Tropézienne Échiré is delicious, with a brioche dough filled with plenty of butter cream. It's a must-try for Échiré lovers. I enjoyed it until the very last bite. 【Tropézienne Échiré】From the store: "Tropézienne," meaning "child of Saint-Tropez," is a regional pastry originating from Saint-Tropez in the south of France. It's a cold dessert made with brioche dough, which is made moist with Échiré butter, and generously filled with a butter cream infused with caramelized butter. The dough and cream both contain Échiré butter, creating a luxurious flavor. Its round, adorable shape is a delight. Enjoy the feeling of happiness with every bite.
Echiré, famous for its butter, is located in Shibuya Scramble Square, which is inside Shibuya Station. I tried one of their Shibuya-exclusive menu items that you can buy without a reservation. "Tropézienne Echiré" ¥692 Both the dough and the cream are made with Echiré butter. The dough is brioche and fluffy. The cream inside is a rich butter cream. I thought it might be expensive, but it's a decent size, so it might not be that expensive for Echiré. They accept credit cards and Rakuten Pay.
I purchased a canelé that was exclusive to the Shibuya store ✨ The crispy surface, which was thoroughly baked, had a juicy, buttery flavor from the Échiré butter that permeated the moist dough. The difference in texture between the surface and the inside was incredibly delicious ✨ The delicious canelé, which is baked slowly over a long period of time in the store every day, can only be purchased through a web pre-order or at the store starting at 5 pm. I was lucky enough to buy one when there were only a few left ✨ All of the desserts made with Échiré butter are delicious ✨
I had given up on buying anything at other stores because they were always so crowded, but I was able to get what I wanted when I visited on a weekday afternoon. They make their own butter, which you can buy separately, but the pastries themselves are simple and delicious without being overly sweet. The financier was crispy on the outside and very tasty. The sablé sandwiches are refrigerated and come in three flavors, but the rum raisin one contains 2% alcohol and is meant for adults. However, I didn't really taste much alcohol in it. The baked goods have a shelf life of two days, while the refrigerated items last for one day. They also provide a paper bag for your purchase. There are other items on the menu, so I think it would be a good place to buy souvenirs. It's a bit pricey though.
This shop is located near Shibuya Station. I always saw the long lines and ignored it, but one day I happened to pass by around 11:30 am on a weekday and there was no line at all, which was unbelievable. The delicious smell lured me in, and even though I was planning to have lunch soon, I couldn't miss this opportunity and bought a financier. It's small, but when you take a bite, the buttery aroma fills your mouth. The outside is crispy, and the inside is moist but light. The financier has a shelf life of about 3 days, so it doesn't last very long, but it's a popular shop, so I think it would be a great gift.
