Based on the map, I believe this is a shop located in the basement of Takashimaya. Both the butter sugar and the orange chocolate bread were delicious.
Even though it was crowded in the evening and I had to wait a while to place my order, the staff was very attentive and provided excellent service. Thank you.
Kimuraya is known for its sake-kasu anpan (bread filled with sweet bean paste fermented with sake lees). It is said that they were the first in Japan to create this type of bread over 130 years ago, using sake yeast instead of the usual seven types of yeast. I tried two of their limited-edition sake-kasu anpan flavors. ■ Sake-kasu Amaou Strawberry (¥180, ¥195 with tax) The pink-colored bean paste is made with Amaou strawberry puree and contains freeze-dried strawberries. It has a refreshing, slightly tart strawberry flavor and a sweet bean paste, making it a light and refreshing treat. ■ Sake-kasu Fuji Apple This anpan features a white bean paste combined with Fuji apple syrup from Aomori Prefecture and unsalted butter. The crisp texture of the apple is delightful, and the bean paste is sweet but refreshing.

The selection is limited, but the food is still delicious. The location is so small and hard to find, I wish they could do something about it. It's difficult for someone from the countryside to find it. Even with the store map, I couldn't find it for about 10 minutes and was about to give up, but I finally managed to find it.
