This was my second visit, and the food was delicious again. The seasoning is mild, but the cooking techniques are excellent, bringing out the natural flavors of the ingredients. While there have been comments about the service, I understand that kitchen staff are helping with serving due to circumstances. Considering the price, the course is excellent value for money. I will definitely be back regularly!
The atmosphere was more casual than I expected. The food was inventive and interesting, and I enjoyed it. The beet rose was artistic and truly beautiful. The paired wines might be divisive, but I personally didn't dislike them. There were many foreign visitors.
The food was absolutely amazing, but the service was unfortunately not on par. There were a few instances of inconsiderate or questionable service. I won't go into detail, but it's a shame the food had to be overshadowed. I let it slide because it was a work dinner, but if it had been a personal outing, I would have definitely complained. Since it's close to my office, I hope they improve.
I visited for a birthday dinner on a weekday evening. I ordered the 35,000 yen course with wine pairing. The amuse-bouche was delicious, as was the mushroom dish. The main courses, sea bream and venison (tenderloin), were cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. However, the other dishes lacked contrast in texture and flavor, with the sauces all tasting quite similar. While this is a matter of personal preference, I prefer dishes with more contrast. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish the main dessert as it wasn't to my liking. This only happens to me once every four years or so. The dishes were beautifully presented with scattered flowers, making them visually appealing. I agree with the concept of using simple, rustic plates and décor to enhance the food, but the tables and tableware lacked a sense of luxury and brilliance. They seemed a bit worn. Although the wine pairing was described as 10 glasses, only 8 were served, which was disappointing. It wouldn't have been a problem if there had been an explanation, but it left me feeling a bit cheated. The pairing itself was well-chosen and well-structured. While many reviews praise this restaurant, the menu hasn't changed much in recent years, and the prices have gone up. When you add the wine pairing, the cost becomes quite high, making it difficult to justify the price. The restaurant has two semi-private rooms, creating a calm, simple, and intimate atmosphere. However, the service and ambiance felt casual compared to the price, and while the course price has increased, the overall experience hasn't improved. I dressed up for a French restaurant, but I felt a bit out of place. I should have worn a knit dress. Perhaps those who come for lunch or don't drink alcohol might appreciate it more.
